Pellestova Hotel was the perfect match for our vacation. We were looking for a getaway that combined relaxation with outdoor adventure – and with its stunning location on top of the mountain, we got exactly that. We went cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, hiking, and even squeezed in a few runs. We treated ourselves to all three of the hotel’s incredible restaurants and unwound in our beautiful room, which truly felt like home. We’ll definitely be back – and we already can’t wait!

Far too few activities offered a la mini golf, shuffleboard, pool, billiards, darts, and the like. Fantastic in terms of hiking, cycling and skiing, but it doesn't make up for poor offers otherwise.
Selection of products for breakfast too poor, especially the absence of wholemeal bread of different types.

For several years, Pellestova has been a favourite for hiking and nordic skiing. By 2024, the hotels has undergone a very successful refurbishment. All rooms are decorated in "mountain lodge style" (wood, slate etc.), the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms also new with floor heating and amenities from Rituals (soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner). There is a well equipped mini-bar and TV. Breakfast is plentyful; a cooked breakfast is being served upon request, and there is also a traditional nordic buffet with ham, salmon, cheese, croissants, fruit, etc. The hotel offers three restaurants covering all needs: A pizzeria serving lovely artisan pizza, a restaurant serving modern french-norwegian cuisine and the new "Slakteriet", an exclusive restaurant in the culinary landscape of new nordic cuisine. The latter is seating aprx 30 guests each night, serving ca. 12 dishes focusing on game and locally sourced produce. The hotel wine cellar is to die for, offering Échezeaux, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Gevrey-Chambertin, and also less expensive alternatives.

Stopped in for lunch while skiing from Nordseter. It's a very nice setting. There are 2 options for lunch, one a serve yourself from a very limited buffet style. The other a more loungy setting with 3 items on the menu. The food prices were very high, especially for the former option: open faced sandwiches were 219 kr, a piece of cake was 159 kr.

Just returned from four spotlessly enjoyable days with my son, combining cross country and downhill skiing, staying in Pellestova Hotel—with friendly yet professional staff, real art on the walls, gourmet food… and coffee after skiing in Fireplace Room with cathedral ceiling and a glass wall inviting snow-covered rolling hills and sunset to come in. We had a logistical problem: The local buss company we were counting on to take us to the downhill skiing slopes just stopped working. Pelestova took over; and not only solved the problem but made us feel truly cared for.

This is a very nice hotel! Our room and bathroom felt spacious and was very well appointed, with everything we needed. The food was very, very good. We didn't get to try the pizza restaurant, as we weren't there on a weekend. The only thing missing was a sauna, though we did make good use of the ski waxing room. The ski trails are wonderful.
