This Hotel has a number of things in its favour, location is across the Road from the Beach, the rooms are in good condition and kept clean, as are all of the pool and Public Areas. It is also not that big. We upgraded to a Sea View Room a few months ago and are very glad we did as the views from the standard rooms are very poor, mainly looking at walls of neighbouring buildings, Lateral Sea Views Rooms also seems to have a very acceptable view. The Hotel has 3 Blocks, we were in Block 1 so had to negotiate a flight of stairs from the Reception, Restaurant and Main Bar to get to the Lift although there is a Stairlift available. The Pool is on the 1st Floor together with a Pool Bar. Block 2 has a Lift from Reception to all Floors while Block 3 has no lift at all. One other Guest mentioned that it was 73 stairs from Reception to their Room, in Block 3, not easy with luggage etc and the view was 'Rubbish' There was also a lack of Handrails on the stairs. The Pools do not open until 10.00 and although there was a small queue doing the usual race there were always beds and umbrellas available all day. The Pool shuts promptly at 18.00 and the Lifeguard gets everyone out of the pool and puts barriers across so an early or late swim is out of the question. Unfortunately there were a number of things that mean we would not be rushing back. There is a lack of anything going on entertainment wise during the day except for some very loud music being played. There were a few things advertised but there was nothing like Aqua Gym and the entertainment person didn't do much in the way of marketing the activities. On the 2 days she was off nothing was on during the day. There were a few children there but there is very little for them to do, certainly no Kids Club. The evening entertainment took place in the main bar but when we walked past there were never more than 10 people watching, it seemed most guests went out of the Hotel after Dinner. Food wise we felt it wasn't the best. The 'Show Cooking' at every service just didn't look appetising, it always looked dried up, certainly at Breakfast both the Fried Eggs and Bacon were very poorly presented, just piled on the serving plates. At Lunch and Dinner there was always a Carvery type meat available, I tried it twice and both times the meat was tough so left most of it. None of the plates were warm so food quickly went cold. Deserts and fresh fruit were also not very varied and not a wide selection. We were All Inclusive and Soft Drinks, Water and Wine were Self Service, if you wanted non Alcoholic drinks you had to get them from the Bar, the few staff just cleared Tables. We felt that the staff in general were not very friendly at all and while appreciating that English is not their 1st Language most of them avoided making any eye contact. The only exception was the Hotel Manager who spoke to any guests as he walked past them. Perhaps best summed up when we were checking out, with no one else at Reception, when
