Alona Royal Palm Resort

A hidden gem. Don't be put off by the lane off the road to get to it. It's a beautiful, quaint resort with 10 bungalow style rooms, enough for 20 guests. The owner lives on site, with his family and 3 lovely dogs, and both he and all of his staff are very attentative, making our stay very personal. The food is exceptional. It is a very clean hotel providing pool and beach towels. All amenities are close at hand. Restaurants, bars, atm, motorcycles hire, laundry etc and the beach is just a short walk away. We still have 2 nights left before we move on but I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a quiet, peaceful stay with hustle and bustle around the virner if you want it.

We patronized this place twice for food and were amazed by the beauty of the setting. The menu provides a variety of local and European dishes, the highlight is certainly the steak competence where you have a choice between local, Brazilian and USDA certified beef cuts in all varieties. excellent setting of the restaurant, great service most important, fantastic food! Good value for money. Excellent food. Lots of choices on Steaks and wine. European and western food. Close to everything and walking distance to the beach. Few meters away from atm machine and easy to get public transportation for every distination. We’ll surely come back

From start to finish this has been an amazing stay. We arrived very early and they facilitated an early check in, advised us on which trips were good value or not, organised an amazing driver, and met every need. The rooms were extremely clean, the beds very comfortable, the food - epic! The hot stone and crème brûlée in particular. A very short walk to Alona Beach but tuktuks right outside if needed. All the staff were attentive at all times, the pool was beautiful and the gorgeous dogs added to the stay. Had to make sure we actually left to go and explore Bohol as it was so welcoming!
