Avoid Hayahay Resort extremely disappointing experience We booked and paid extra for a Deluxe Sea View room, but when we arrived, the hotel simply told us it was unavailable because they were full. I don’t understand how a hotel can sell a specific room category, charge the higher price, confirm the reservation, and then refuse to provide what the guest paid for. The problems didn’t stop there. The air-conditioning was terrible. They moved us three times just to find a room with an AC that somewhat worked. Even then, it needed to run for around an hour before the room started to feel remotely cool. We contacted Trip.com, and their customer service did everything they could to help. They contacted the hotel and obtained confirmation that we would finally receive the room category we had paid for on our second night. Yet when the second night came, the hotel still refused to give us the Deluxe Sea View room, despite the confirmation from customer service. This is simply unacceptable. If you charge guests for a more expensive room, you should provide that room or at the very least offer a proper solution and compensation instead of making the guest fight for something they already paid for. What makes it worse is that we moved only a few meters away to Alona Vida Beach Resort. For approximately the same price, we received a room around three times bigger, breakfast included, a ₱500 dinner voucher, and genuinely excellent service. The difference was night and day. I would not stay at Hayahay again and cannot recommend it. There are plenty of alternatives around Alona Beach offering far better rooms, service, and value for the same money. Check carefully before booking here, because the room you pay for may not be the room you actually receive. Oh I forgot there was leakage in the bathroom as shown in the picture and the small note on the bed sheet stitched also shown in the picture lol 😂

Perfect location, great price and brilliant staff. Rooms were very spacious and clean. The only downside was that pillows were hard and blankets were very thin.

The photos don't reflect what you'll actually get; they must be old. We had an 'enhanced' room, and I dread to imagine what the standard ones are like. The room was tiny, and you had to walk through the restaurant to get to it. You could hear the kitchen working and music from outside. But the biggest issue was the bathroom: it has a window that looks out onto the main corridor. My tall husband confirmed you can see everything if you peek in, especially if the shower curtain isn't fully closed! Plus, the room's 'terrace' also opens into the corridor. On the beach outside, they're building stairs for access, so if you're coming soon, be prepared for construction work. We stayed one night and moved to another hotel. We tried to cancel the remaining days, but the hotel wouldn't approve the cancellation.

Right by the beach. I love it. Staff were amazing! They were polite, friendly and accomodating! I'll definitely recommend this to my friends and I will stay here again for sure! Thank you!

Don't book rooms through this platform; it's all handled by agencies, and the actual rooms are vastly different from what's shown online, especially the most expensive sea-view rooms! They're smaller and worse than even the deluxe rooms! If you're not in a hurry to book, just do it directly at the hotel; it'll be much cheaper! Otherwise, just pick another hotel. We stayed one night and then switched.

Overall didn’t met my expectations, didn’t expect this, I thought it was going to be more “fancy” for the price. But you can find better places for better prices.

Location is great and staff is friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

Located in the heart of Alona, this hotel has two sections: an older, more affordable one with dated facilities, and a newer section.

Needs Major Improvements - Poor Value for a "Resort" Hotel While next to the beach, this hotel fell short on basic comfort, maintenance, and cleanliness. Noise & Poor Sleep: Walls are thin—you can hear guests next door and footsteps in the hall. The bed is hard, and the provided "blanket" is just a thin sheet. Music is loud but thankfully stops at night. Maintenance & Cleanliness Issues: The shower head sprayed water everywhere. The soap dispenser was broken, and a drinking cup was dirty. Basic toiletries were not provided. Inconvenience: Although beachfront, access requires a long walk from the main road. Dated Room: The room felt rather old and worn. For the price, the lack of working amenities and poor sleep quality make it difficult to recommend.

WARNING DONT BOOK we booked a room that pic clearly showed ocean view through window but when we arrived were told Oh not this Hayahay go to the other. We did to be put in a small room out the back. Trip Customer Services contacted them but no luck. I’m a dog lover but when there are 5 dogs laying in the bar, reception, stairwell for you to trip over, dining tables hassling diners I say no. So many better places for less money. DO NOT RISK IT NEGATIVE 5 STARS.

It is front beach however the room looks old even the TV model is old. No free toiletries unlike other hotel considering the price per night.
