Fare Suisse Tahiti - Guesthouse

This is a reasonably-priced hotel in on an expensive island. I stayed in the newer of the two buildings and all the finishes, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures were very modern. My one complaint is the roosters - they start to crow at 4:30 a.m. The A/C kept the room cool and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. Another nice feature are all the outdoor sitting spaces with nice chairs and shade. The hotel is quiet; a short 20-minute walk to the downtown - nice walk during the day but bring a flashlight if walking at night. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks available at a small bar. Breakfast includes some fresh fruits, breads, ham and cheese. With all the poultry running around it would be nice to have the option to order some eggs. Another nice feature is airport and ferry boat pick-up and drop-off. Friendly staff.

I can’t even begin to express how special this guesthouse is! I have been staying there for the past 10 years, every time I come to Tahiti. It’s so close to the airport and ferry terminal, it’s even walking distance to a grocery store! Beni the owner is so kind and was able to get me in on a last minute reservation, and don’t miss the breakfast, he makes the best banana chocolate chip bread on the morning! The rooms are so clean and the beds are so comfortable , it makes a wonderful nights sleep after a long travel day! Bonus, they will even pick you up from the airport, and drive you back to the airport and ferry the next day, all included! Their prices are so reasonable too! Make sure to try their wonderful restaurant for dinner too! Thanks again for another great stay!!

Everything was fine except there were no towels in our room and all the roosters awakened us at 3:30 am.

Perfect for our overnight stay (arrival at airport and departure by ferry next day)- free pickup and drop off for our family of 7, very accommodating and went out of their way to be helpful. Nice restaurant patio with a view for breakfast, dinner or a drink. Would definitely stay again. Nothing fancy, but very clean, comfortable and convenient. The family suite (sleeps 4) was especially nice.

Arrivals and departures to/from Tahiti are at times that are difficult. As we arrived at 10 pm and didn’t have our cruise departure until the next afternoon, we had one night at this B&B. As the owner had not received my earlier text/email, I finally discovered a call on WhatsApp received a response and although it was close to 12 pm, the owner picked us up. We did need our converter plugs to charge our phones, but we had a good night’s sleep in a quiet room on a firm, comfortable bed. A continental breakfast on a lovely outdoor patio was adequate. The staff were kind enough to hold our bags while we walked into town, then ordered a taxi for us. The taxi driver, Emilie, was delightful and had lived and gone to college where my partner had!
