Came here almost 10 years ago with my family and loved it so much that I wanted to return. It isn't quite as nice now and I don't know if I would've splurged knowing this, but we still had a great time. From the reviews I've read it seems that breakfast keeps changing, so here's what was served in mid-July: coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, croissant or pain de chocolat, yogurt with granola. All superb quality. The location overlooking the canal is fantastic and absolutely the hotel's most special feature. Very fun to watch boats go by and hang out there at night. We had two serious issues, though: 1) The wifi didn't work at all in almost 2/3 of our room, and even though we brought it up with the staff multiple times, it wasn't resolved during our 5 day stay. 2) The cleaning staff seemed to use our room as a storage closet and would repeatedly knock on the door wanting to retrieve items like vacuum cleaners and comforters. Once a staff member knocked and, before we could open the door, walked straight into our room. That was of course really uncomfortable and we hope that the management will make changes to allow the doors to be locked from the inside.
