From start to finish the experience has been awful. The front desk is not equipped to even answer the phone much less provide answered to any questions about the neighborhood. My room which was a deluxe suite did not have even a tea kettle or a coffee pot. The room was very dark with the lightbulbs of very low wattage. The Toto toilet features were inoperable until the final day of my stay. There wet no salts for the lovely tub and no shower caps. The only thing provided in the bath were cotton balls and Q tips. On my final full day I called reception and just keep letting it ring for 28 minutes hoping they would answer. In that time I got dressed, brushed my teeth and finally went downstairs. They said something was wrong with their phones. Other guests were walking down in the night clothes. I inquired why there wasn’t a coffee/tea service in the room. She said there was and that it was in the bar. I speak passable French when the restaurant staff brought my breakfast they showed me a closet next to the bar which held a tea kettle and a mini bar but nothing else. When I checked in 3 days before it was not shown to me and the person giving me the tour said the doors led to another room. It was also very loud due to its proximity on the place des Voges but there were no ear plugs available. I so wanted to love the hotel and the room but it was a severe disappointment. And for the 5 start price it was BARELY 3 star service. Everyone was polite and happy but there was no management and it seemed there was no grown up hotelier in charge. Don’t wast your time or get seduced by the room photos and romance of the Place des Voges. Cours des Voges didn’t warm my heart — it broke it.

A tiny hotel on one corner of a world-famous, 17th century square enclosing a park and fountain...reception area only about 10x20 with all materials in a shelved armoire ! Wonderfully helpful staff..bilingual..Antoine, Jasmine, and others. A small elevator, thank goodness..a spacious room..and a superb view. Only negative..a miserable kitchen and sidewalk restaurant..don't eat there..go across to the nearest corner to the Cafe Carette.

This hotel is a unique - a 300 year old building that's been wonderfully restored with view out to the most beautiful (IMO) square in Paris in the colest Paris hood. It's a comfy stay with all the amenities of a great hotel, except no restaurant (there is a cafe in the hotel and 100s of restaurants right outside your door). Plus, the mixed modern and historical design creates a museum-like vibe with cool art, chic furnishings, high ceilings, and killer views of the square. It's totally hard to top the ambiance here, and we had a blast during our stay. Okay, real talk: this hotel is pretty pricey. Yes, it's got a cool mix of modern and historical design, and the views of the square are amazing. And sure, you can cook in your room instead of going out to eat. But let's be real, not everyone wants to cook while they're on vacation. And with the cost of the room, you might not have much money left over for dining out. So while it's definitely a unique and comfortable place to stay, just be prepared to pay a premium for it.

This is an idiosyncratic, boutique hotel in an historic structure. It is far from being a 5 star luxury hotel. Although the staff at reception are very nice, the concierge service is abysmal and unresponsive. Although the beds are comfortable, the rooms are poorly appointed and cramped. One of the light switches was half-detached from the wall; another had a crackling short-circuit. The bathroom amenities are substandard. Based on their website and the price (1200 Euros a night) we were expecting so much more. This was a great disappointment.

It is beyond me how this hotel got 5 stars. The floor is uneven, covered by rugs, one on top of the other, very small and uncomfortable. No lobby, no real concierge that knows his/hers surroundings… not sure how can it even be called a hotel, let alone 5 star one. The only great thing is the location, and a very helpful doorman by the name of Sid.

I have stayed at many amazing places, but Room 402 is one of the coolest. Located on the top floor, under the 16th century rafters, this luxurious loft has 3 windows looking out over the Place des Vosges. With steeply sloped walls, the bed is freestanding in the center with a banquette and chairs in one corner. The timbers and roof are up-lit. With piles of art books and magazines - as well as decanters of liquors included - this feels like a cozy, chic apartment. Impeccable design. Which means it looks great, if not always practical. (No place to hang anything long) With only 12 rooms, it feels like an intimate secret. I stayed at the Ritz to get a view of Pl. Vendome. And stayed here for a view of Pl. des Vosges. These are bucket lists items. The only problem: on a rainy day, I felt like cuddling in a corner rather than exploring the city!

This is a wonderful small hotel on Place de Vosges in the Marais district. The manager, Carole, was just terrific. We had a great room overlooking the Place de Vosges which is the oldest square in Paris and is surrounded by shops, galleries and restaurants. Wonderful breakfast each morning of our stay. Terrific staff

This is my third time in Paris, but I honestly didn't recall Paris has that many hotel options. I was overwhelmed w/ my search and finally found this. At first I was a bit skeptical of a hotel not having a typical lobby/bar, but it turned out to be great! Upon arrival, Alexander greeted us and helped us with our luggage. We stayed in Room 301, w/ a king size bed and very comfortable bedding, Samsung TV, greeting chocolate, all the drinks you want, and a great view of the Place de Vosges! The room also has a few booklets about the opening of this hotel and its sister hotels Brach, Sinner, and Nolinski, which was interesting to read through. Breakfast (continental) is served in room or in the cafe downstairs. Prior comment noted that the code to enter the hotel didn't work, but we had no issues with using the code to enter the building. The website advertised the use of Guerlain product, but Sinner's (one of its sister hotels) product was provided. Water pressure of the shower wasn't the best, but it did the job. I was a bit disappointed that the bathroom didn't come with a bath-tub, and I was so looking forward to taking a bath in room, but they do have a roman bath (jacuzzi) downstairs that's for guest use. For the turn down service, they would provide a little extra something like chocolate, fragrance samples used in other Evoc hotels, and a hand written weather card for the next day! In terms of service, this is the better ones I have experienced for 5 star hotels. With just about 12 rooms in this hotel, it doesn't feel crowded at all with tourists coming in and out, it actually made us feel like we're in a private residence rather than in a traditional hotel. Located in Le Marais, you are also closed to many boutique shops if you're into shopping. On the weekends they have antique market just outside the hotel. At night, it was not crowded/loud at all. Whenever we re-enter the hotel, there's this warm and welcoming scent. I always find the scent of the hotel goes hand in hand with the interior design and gives a special character to it. Would love to stay at its other hotels for our next visit!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this amazing property! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the entire experience was excellent! The staff was on point and never missed a beat! They got me all the reservations that I wanted. Staying at this hotel is an experience and one of the finest properties I've stayed at. Cannot wait to return!
