Hotel Elysa-Luxembourg Reviews

We booked a triple room and stayed for two nights. The room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable. The breakfast spread was quite generous, offering bread, milk, ham, fruit, and even scrambled eggs and steamed sausages. Having hot food was a big plus for me.

The hotel's location is fantastic. The B line metro station is right downstairs, offering direct access to the airport and easy travel to Galleries Lafayette. Luxembourg Gardens, a historic park, is also downstairs, perfect for enjoying a sandwich and a stroll like a true Parisian. It's also a short walk to the 5th arrondissement, where you can visit the Pantheon (don't miss the ancient pipe organ in the church behind it). Nearby, there's McDonald's, a Korean BBQ place, and various other restaurants. A Carrefour convenience store and a tax-free pharmacy are just downstairs. Our room with a balcony was beautiful and offered a view of the Eiffel Tower. The breakfast selection wasn't vast, but it was delicious – definitely try the chocolate croissants and yogurt! The staff were all warm and friendly; they even helped me resolve an issue with my phone during my stay. If I had to mention any downsides, the facilities in the old building are a bit dated, and the elevator is tiny, so avoid bringing too much luggage. Also, in the corner rooms, there are many mirrors, some facing the bed, which might be something for fellow travelers to consider if they're particular about that.

The location is perfect – directly opposite the hotel there's a bus stop, and around the corner, you'll find the RER train station (with a direct line to Charles de Gaulle Airport). The room is wonderful: a huge double bed, a very comfortable mattress, pillows, and a duvet. Everything is spotlessly white. The water pressure is excellent, and the shower gel and hand soap have a subtle citrus scent. Breakfast is fantastic, offering hot dishes (you can boil your own eggs, plus scrambled eggs and sausages), cold cuts, cheeses, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a daily variety of fresh fruits and berries like watermelon, melon, oranges, grapefruit, kiwi, strawberries, and cherries. There's also pastries and good coffee from the machine. All the staff at the front desk are excellent – thank you so much! We'll definitely be back next time.

The room isn't big, but it's very cozy; it's small but has everything you need. The location is excellent – Luxembourg Gardens is right outside the hotel, and it's super convenient for metro and bus travel. You can also walk to the Pantheon and Notre Dame. There's a Carrefour Express supermarket and a bakery right at the hotel's entrance, and several Chinese restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is over 100 years old, with not many rooms. The elevator feels very vintage. The facade is quite unassuming; one night, coming back from a Seine River cruise, I walked right past it even with navigation – a more recognizable sign would be great. Overall, I really like this hotel.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent – directly across the street from the entrance to the Luxembourg Gardens, and the RER B exit (a direct line from Charles de Gaulle Airport) is right by the hotel's door. The area is pleasant and not too noisy, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Most attractions are within walking distance (the Pantheon is just around the corner, Notre Dame is a 10-minute walk, and the Louvre is 30 minutes away). My room on the 2nd floor wasn't tiny at all – it had a bed, a bench, a small table, and a decent-sized bathroom. Daily cleaning was provided. The breakfast was good, with hot dishes, cold cuts, fruits, vegetables, and pastries. The only downside was that I could clearly hear people in the hallway; however, once they entered their rooms, it became quiet. I highly recommend it and would happily stay here again.

The facility is clean, quaint and very visually appealing. It seems be kind of art deco style and the reception offers tea and coffee. The location is excellent because it is near the public transportation and within walking distance of everything you would want to see in Paris. The street is very safe even at night and just a few doors down. There is an excellent Lebanese restaurant that is always packed and they do great sandwiches and falafels. The ruins have a really good shower and coffee and French teas are provided. The shampoo, body wash and soap are really high quality too.

I stayed here for two nights when I first arrived in Paris. I was a bit scared of the Paris metro due to concerns about pickpockets, so I opted for the airport express train directly to Luxembourg station – no transfers needed! It was only a two-minute walk from there. I had accidentally booked an extra day due to a time difference miscalculation. When I arrived, the front desk staff told us to go have breakfast first. It was in the basement, like an old stone castle. The breakfast seemed simple but was actually quite delicious. I couldn't find that yogurt anywhere else, even in supermarkets later on. You could boil your own eggs, a feature I saw in many hotel breakfasts later too. There was a multi-grain bread that was particularly good, my family loved it, and we couldn't find anything similar in bakeries afterward. The breakfast here was even better than the 20-euro breakfast at the 3-star Holiday Inn we stayed at later.

The room was small, which is to be expected in an old building, but it felt very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk to Luxembourg Gardens and the metro station, making it perfect for a family trip.

Excellent location - very near RER station with many eateries and shopping within 10 mins walk. Room condition was excellent and amenities on point - would definitely recommend this hotel to all Paris travelers!

Highly recommend this hotel! It feels very safe and is incredibly close to Luxembourg Gardens, as well as the metro and bus, making it super convenient for getting around. You can even get here directly from Charles de Gaulle Airport without any transfers. The breakfast was good, and my room even had a balcony. It was very quiet at night, which was great for sleeping. The only minor downside is that check-in isn't until 3 PM.

The location is fantastic, right next to the Luxembourg Gardens and not far from the metro station.
