This is not the first time I have stopped because I like the location, on a quiet street. And very friendly reception staff!! One minus (and this is a problem in many small hotels in Paris) is the maids, they really like to occupy the elevator with their equipment! When you are without a suitcase this is not a problem, the stairs are also suitable, but with suitcases... very inconvenient

Accustomed to this hotel where I go down regularly when I have exams to pass.
Room reserved and paid for for one person from Friday 6 to Saturday 7 May 22.
When I arrive, I am charged (and I pay) twice the tax even though only one person is occupying the room!
In addition, while this was not practiced previously, the night watchman demanded to scan my identity card: I refused.
From this moment, the reception is more than unpleasant.
The most outrageous is that I had to stay again in this hotel 48 hours later; I had therefore reserved and paid for a room on their site (non-refundable, non-cancellable by me) from Sunday May 8 to Monday May 9, 22 OR I received an email indicating that the hotel CANCELLED my reservation! To flee!!!!

Room was comfortable, but the twin beds are very small.
Bathroom could do with a shower door rather than a plastic curtain. Also very small, you have to be careful not to burn yourself on the radiator whilst using the sink. We had no hot water on the first day.
Room information states mini bar - it was an empty fridge, not even a bottle of water was supplied. In room tea and coffee facilities are also very poor.
Location is good but overpriced for what it is.
Needs to be upgraded or lower the price.

My mom stayed at this hotel on a separate trip and when I found myself with a few extra days in Paris, she highly recommended this one. Great restaurants all around and prime location near the metro. Very safe and quiet and the rooms are exactly as offered. Definitely French sizing, but when in Paris, you only need a hotel room to sleep otherwise you're out exploring and having fun. Perfect spot to come back to!

Brief stay at the Istria. Great location - one block from Blvd. Montparnasse, twenty yards from the Raspail Métro stop. Hôtel is clean, with small rooms typical of older Paris hotels.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially when dealing with jet-lagged Americans.

The hotel was lovely. Great location, just a few minutes' walk from the Raspail metro station. Inside was very comfortable, sleek and streamlined, and nicely decorated.

The hotel is situated in a nice location, very near metro station and close to many nice restaurants. The room was ok, but on the minus side, I think the walls are very thin; I heard very well a dog, a baby and some couple during my stay. I also consider the room to be a little too small (and as a consequence too sp****ly equipped, no wardrobe, a very small desk etc., but still with a refrigerator, which is a plus) and without a really good light. I didn't try the breakfast.
