Amazing
GGuest UserI booked Fly in Baku hotel for my parents, and they were absolutely delighted with their stay. Everything was perfect from the moment they arrived until the day they checked out. The rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and quiet – exactly what you need for a relaxing trip. The hotel itself has a very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere that made them feel at ease right away.
What really made their stay unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. A very special thanks goes to Mr. Jafar Jabarov, who went above and beyond to make sure my parents had the best experience possible. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail were truly remarkable. He made them feel cared for and at home throughout their stay. I highly recommend Fly in Baku to anyone visiting Baku. If you are looking for a hotel that combines comfort, cleanliness, and exceptional service, this is the perfect place. My parents returned with only good memories, and we are very grateful to the entire team.
AAnastasia.AroundTheWorldBeautiful building, but there are many things to improve.
”+”
1. Very beautiful view from the seaview room, you can see the whole city
2. Personnel is polite and helpful
3. Not so far from the center, nice area around, easy to get by taxi
4. The room is spacious and clean, with nice bathroom.
5. In room dining is good.

1. I booked this hotel knowing Fairmont from other countries (stayed there) and the level here is down.
2. If you call and ask something, not very fast response. Ihad to wait very long for help with luggage at check out.
3. The price is expensive for the level you get.
4. The spa area which for me was important was old, needs modernisation. Sauna wood is dangerously falling apart, the jacuzzi in the pool have handles that are moving a lot, almost detached, stain in the pool is not cleaned. There is no supervision in the pool, some people enter without shower.
5. I booked for the sun and external pool, but its down in between the buildings, so no sun after lunch and its very windy.
Overall the hotel is good, but many things that ruin the impression.
SShax.778We had an incredible experience at the Marriott Hotel Boulevard. This hotel is truly worth every penny!
Everything was top-notch, but a few things stood out:
* The Breakfast: Simply amazing. Very rich, delicious, and offered a huge variety of choices.
* The Location: Perfect and very convenient. It’s situated in a great spot, making it easy to get around.
* SPA & Sauna: High-quality facilities and probably some of the best we’ve experienced. Truly a highlight of our stay.
* Front Desk Service: A huge special thanks to Jasur at registration. He was professional and very attentive. He provided us with a room featuring a stunning sea view and arranged connecting rooms specifically for us, which we really appreciated.
We visited from Khorezm, Uzbekistan. It was wonderful to feel such a connection with the local people; our languages are so similar to Azerbaijani that we felt right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Thank you to the whole team for making our trip so memorable. We highly recommend this hotel!
AAnonymous UserLocated along a main street before 4 Seasons, on the fringe of Old City and opposite the Seaside Boulevard. Walk, catching a bus or taxi are all very easy. Food is readily available as there's Room Service, Rooftop terrace in the hotel, restaurants aplenty around the hotel or short walk away. Daniz Mall and Park Bulvar Mall are closest.
Staff are generally helpful and polite. Even though they may struggle with our English, every effort is made to assist. This is especially so with most of the reception and breakfast service staff.
Housekeeping would have been great for me if they had not returned a pouch I'd left behind in the bedside table. There's nothing of real value in it ( to me), except a printed copy of my passport and phone charging cable. It's frustrating as I'd contacted them the day after I'd checked out and no one else had been staying in that room since I'd left.
Rooms in the hotel are large, with a small foyer where the wardrobe is located. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Getting a room on the back (no Caspian sea view) was great as it's quiet. Bathroom was horrible as the sanitary system was old and gave off a strong stench that hit you the moment you open the room door. Flush was also not working properly. Shower stall doors were old and water leaks onto the bathroom floor when you shower, making it a hazard if you're not careful.
Breakfast spread was ok, offering both hot and cold dishes. Fresh vegetables and fruits were available too. The coffee and tea need big improvements though.
My biggest gripe was the refusal by tge hitel to move me to a room without the stench. As per my return to search for my pouch, that room (206) was definitely not often used.
CComer the roamerThe staff was great! They assisted me with many taxis and even helped me order late night food. The room service food was phenomenal as well. The breakfast quality varied but had a variety of things. Now, the room. My tv was broken and shifted the colors on screen like it was a prism in a tornado. My lights didn’t work for about a day and the room was next to the elevator. Location was a bit out of the way, but at least taxis are cheap!
GGuest UserThe hotel was renovated from an old hotel and was a bit run-down. The front desk's English skills are poor. The hotel is all carpeted and difficult to clean.
Feng shui is not good, the mirror is designed to face the bed. The room is relatively spacious, but the living experience is still average.
MMark@HKVIt's hard to say in a word, except that it's closer to the business office, there's really nothing else to say.
The location is quite good, there is a mall nearby, close to the Caspian Sea beach, and there are two good Chinese restaurants not far away.
But for some reason, the hotel's front desk is on the second floor. The entrance to the first floor is narrow and blocked by a broken board on one side. It feels very bad.
I arrived early on the day of check-in, so I had to wait until noon to check in, but when I opened the door with a card and went in, there was a big brother sleeping soundly on the bed😪, so I had to go back and wait for another hour for cleaning and cleaning, which was embarrassing😳
The breakfast items at the end of the second floor are relatively small, so let's just have some. When I checked out, there was no one at the front desk in the morning, and no one came when I rang the bell. After waiting for a long time, I had to put down my card and leave.
Summer is the peak tourist season. If other hotels were not fully booked and the price was not considered, there is a high probability that I would not stay in this hotel again.
ゆゆめと°I'd say the hotel offered good value for its price. The only minor hiccup was that there were no towels, and it took a little while for them to be brought up to the room. On a positive note, a restaurant nearby was absolutely delicious.
GGuest UserReview of Oldcity Inn Hotel, Baku, Azerbaijan
I recently stayed at the Oldcity Inn Hotel in Baku, located in the heart of the historical Old City. While the location is undeniably charming, right in the center of Baku’s historical landmarks, my experience left much to be desired.
Pros:
Location: The hotel is situated in the very center of Baku's historical Old City, which offers a unique atmosphere with its ancient architecture and cultural significance.
Reception Staff: The staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I liked the girl at the hotel reception, who was very kind with the cat. The hotel had a very cute cat, who came into the hotel in the evening and left in the morning. However, despite their kindness, they were unable to provide much help with guest problems such as transportation and logistics.
Cons:
Cleanliness: The hotel did not provide daily cleaning services, which was disappointing and below the standards I expect from any accommodation.
Accessibility Issues:
Check-in/Check-out Stress: My biggest issue was with the overall experience of entering and leaving the Old City area. Police and security guards surround the area with barriers, preventing taxis or any other transportation from entering without paying bribes. Tourists are forced to carry their heavy luggage for 2-3 kilometers, which is incredibly difficult, especially after long flights.
After an hour of negotiation and paying a 12 AZN bribe (with no receipt or clear explanation), I was finally allowed to enter the area. Similarly, during checkout, the police fined a taxi driver 100 AZN just for waiting outside the Old City to pick me up. This created an extremely stressful situation that overshadowed the beauty of the location.
Corruption and Mismanagement:
The corruption among local police and security guards was shocking and disappointing. Tourists are regularly stopped and extorted for bribes, making the experience feel hostile and unwelcoming.
There were no clear guidelines on how tourists are supposed to manage transportation in and out of the Old City, and no support from the hotel or authorities on this matter.
Conclusion:
While the Old City is undeniably a historical gem, I cannot recommend staying at the Oldcity Inn Hotel or any other accommodation within this area due to the severe accessibility challenges, the corrupt practices of local authorities, and the overall stress it creates for tourists. If you plan to visit Baku, I suggest staying outside the Old City and visiting the area during the day to enjoy its history without dealing with these logistical nightmares.
