A great place at the outskirts of the town. Elevated position and great views onto Paro. Well equipped room with heating, if needed. The best thing for us was the heated floor in the bathroom. Right what we needed after a long day hiking. Very nice staff, especially in the restaurant.

I stayed here for two nights as part of a Bhutan package tour. The hotel was generally fine but nothing special. The location is good overlooking Paro valley. Rooms was spacious, though the bathroom clearly required a good refurbishment. I found the staff a bit unhelpful and stiff and never really smiling. Dinner was included as part of the package, and it was dreadful. There was no Bhutanese food and it was really just brought-in food from some Chinese restaurant. When I saw the food on offer, I decided to skip dinner and went back to my room.

Great room, very well appointed. Spectacular view from private terrace on the Paro valley. Big bathtub and heating floor in bathroom. Thats why we put 5 score Restaurant and breakfast very average. No toilet shower and hot-cold water not working properly

We spent a total of 3 nights at this hotel in Paro. For us, it was easily the worst place we stayed at in 2 weeks in Bhutan. We were in the room closest to the lobby. The first night there was tons of noise right outside the room from a group of bicycle riders. Right off the bat, some of the power outlets didn't work. When my husband went to take a shower, there was no hot water. They subsequently managed to "fix" the hot water problem but only partially. We had a choice then of either scalding hot water or cold water because of the dysfunctional water valves. The last night we spent there (before flying out of Paro), we did not shower at all. That morning, there was only one choice of water: hot. From the sink and the shower. The breakfast was adequate but not very good. We had far better food elsewhere for breakfast. We did not eat dinner there. The rooms are small but of adequate size. The bed and pillows were okay and the room was clean. The hotel does offer great views across the rice fields and the Paro valley. The views may outweigh the negatives, especially if you don't need a shower!

I just spent two nights at this hotel. The property is very physically appealing. The rooms are large and each appears to have a fantastic view of the city of Paro below. You also have unobstructed views of the national museum, fortress, and incoming airplanes. The location is on the mountainside, so while the city is nearby you would need to be willing to do a steep walk at times. The wifi mostly worked during the stay. The only negative I have to report is the extreme cold temperature of the room, as the heater is not adequate to deliver a comfortable temperature during the winter. I tried to sit and sleep right next to the heater but it's not enough. The hot water was so strong that it's almost unusable to shower in, however, other travelers in my group reported little to no hot water at all. The bar service was good during the entire stay.

MR is situated up on a hill overlooking the beautiful valley of Paro. The staff eagerly greeted me and took my luggage. Check in was fast, as my luggage was delivered to my room before I received my key. The room was spacious, clean and warm. A heater was already on when I entered my room. There is a small seating area next to the big windows. I had my private balcony where I enjoyed the stunning view. The bed was clean, and comfortable. The bathroom had a tub and shower. The first night I didn’t have cold water and the 2nd night, I didn’t have hot water. The food was good. Service was excellent as the staff attended to my needs. They were all nice and friendly. At night, you will enjoy the night lights of the city especially the lighted fortress. MR is a budget hotel for the weary travelers.
