Total Disappointment. I book this hotel as they are very close to the airport and based on the rooms advertised it look very decent. I arrived around 3pm in the afternoon. I book this room 3 months in advance. It wasn't even busy at the reception but I waited for an hour, only to be told that the room is not ready. As patient as I am, I asked if I can leave my luggage while I go to MOA with my cousin and come back to check in, and the receptionist says it's fine. Due to traffic and rally happening at that time we came back at 9 PM, very tired and ready to rest finally in my room only to wait and again to be told that there's a problem with my room. The reception offered me money and ask me to look for another hotel but I refused as it is not acceptable to treat your guest like that. The manager spoke to me and said that they are gonna transfer us to another hotel and promise to pick us up at early 5 am due to my early flight. Because I was tired I agree but very upset that this has to happen. The hotel that they transfer us to is a MOTEL and not even located in the main street and located in an alley way which I didn't feel safe. The motel doesn't have an elevator and our room is located in the third floor. There was problem with the door as well not locking and opening. while trying to unlock the door the guest next door were trying to get out and lock herself inside as they were also problem with their lock. Now this is very dangerous in terms of emergency and fire. I have to go down 3 floors to tell the guy we can't open the door and they assisted us only be disappointed with the room and the bed is hard, the sheets are very old and looks like it's not washed properly and I have to endure not be able to sleep for the rest of the night because of a hard bed and the disappointment I had and the way I was taken for granted the fact that I book the room in August and I checked in November during my trip. This is unacceptable. I will give them credit for picking me up in the morning but the whole experience and service I was quite frustrated and I will never come back to this hotel or recommend them to anyone. I still didn't quite understand that at first they advise the room is not ready and then there's an issue with the room. My theory is that they over book me and didn't accomodate me in the end and made an alibi but if I book this in 3 months in advance and have a booking confirmation and a reminder of my booking from trip.com. There's no excuse. If they transferred me to a better hotel it would have been fine but I was transferred to the unpleasant one like a 2 star accomodation. The photos I shared is not from Skyport hotel but the replacement motel I was given to. It is not the money I paid for so therefore I should be getting a full refund. My rating is based on my overall experience and the replacement accomodation. If you're looking for other accomodation just go somewhere else I would rather pay more than experience this again.
