Am Paulusbogen

It's a fantastic restaurant on a bank of the Danube, so that the view one can enjoy on the elegant buildings located on the other side of the river and on the river itself while having a meal is marvellous. The food in that restaurant is made with ingredients of the highest quality. I asked for tofu and it was delicious. All the waiters, waitresses and the rest of the staff are very kind and helpful. Therefore it's by all means recommendable to go to the restaurant concerned and have a meal there while in Passau

The ambiance is definitely nice. The location is great between Donau and in the old town. The service couldn’t be more friendly. Restaurant: Sitting on the outdoor terrace with view of the River is romantic. Bring patience and time. It takes an hour or more to get the food. Food is plentiful but a bit dry, the bread was old, the fries crispy. The salads look amazing. Prices are reasonable. Hotel: the rooms are simple, clean and bright, the beds super comfy. The view of the Donau was pretty but at night a drunken crowd yelled and carried on with revving cars, loud stereos for an hour late at night. Maintenance could use a little help. The bathroom door would not close. Check out already 10:30 firm. Take a room facing toward the old town. Don’t arrive from the back entrance unless you want to lug your suitcase up a steep set if stairs.
