Great hotel, great beach, great service. Highly recommended. The team is unbelievable good - for example, resident manager itself spend an 3 hour trying to solve an trouble with my booking. Then they made an upgrade for me, saying: "Because you have to wait so long". Oh, guys. Again - you are great.

Four of us stayed at Amethyst Resort from 5th to 9th September 2023. The hotel borders the Pasikuda beach that boasts of white sand and turquoise blue waters of the ocean. On arrival, we were offered a tasty drink and a warm "Aubovan", the typical Sri Lankan greeting. Baggage was delivered to our rooms that overlooked the sea. There was a long-raised bench to place our baggage. The airconditioned bedroom was quite spacious. The king-size bed had been made up with clean, fresh white sheets and large white pillows. The furnishings included a tv, a fridge, an overhead fan, a dressing table, another table, two comfortable chairs with a low centre table, a cupboard for our clothes along with a kettle and tea/coffee bags. The rooms were cleaned and made up daily. Outside the room on the sea side, was a two metre wide veranda equipped with a bench, a comfortable chair and a centre table. The bathroom too was spacious with clean and white fittings along with standard supplies of soap, conditioner etc. and a clothes rack. The shower provided hot and cold water. There was a well-equipped bar adjacent to the reception and the common lounge area. The hotel also arranged a one-hour boat ride to observe the corals on the reef bordering the Pasikuda beach. The dining area was large and spacious. The guests were mainly foreign tourists and the meals had been tailored to meet their palette. They made tasty Sri Lankan dishes especially for us and for a few other local guests. The staff were exceptionally caring, professional, and helpful and attended to our smallest need. Our thanks also go to the manager Niroshan, who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and contented. Thank you to all at Amethyst for our memorable stay.

Went for beach holiday and worth the visit ......very nice staff and accommodating ...good food and enjoyed the rice & curry wrapped in banana leaf ..they have large swimming pool and cosy..beach is wide and flat ..will visit again soon ..**..

Amethyst Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. A beautiful sandy beach and a huge pool make it perfect for relaxation. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every detail is taken care of. The restaurant serves delicious local and international dishes. Whether you're a couple or a family with kids, this hotel is an ideal getaway. I’ll definitely return next time. Highly recommend!

The beds were so comfy and the pillows too. Nice hot fast showers, fridge for your water, wifi and movies to watch on tv. Step out onto the most pristine part of the beach or swim in the big, clean pool. Interesting sites just outside the resort and an atm only 500m away. Best thing was the staff would do anything for you, getting a mattress for your poolside bed, helping to use the tv, getting us plenty of water, turning on the spa just for you, beautifully done laundry and fast. Housekeeping, gardeners, grounds people, management answer your needs immediately! And the food, many courses, lovely pasta mains and the curries, oh! Pleasant layout of the resort. Much fun, great memories made, will come back. Must mention the supervisor Samanthe, who checked in on us, gave us some history and conversation and really made sure all our needs were met.

Great location right by the beach with its own sunbeds for hotel guests. Very nice, large and clean pool. The room is large and clean with a very good bed and good pillows and also has a terrace. The outdoor area at the hotel is also well-kept. The only downside is the restaurant and the food. It is not a pleasant room, but on the other hand, the staff here are very attentive and want to do the very best they can to ensure that the guests are satisfied. If I ever come back to Passikudha I will stay here again 👍

The best budget hotel located on the beach and it is I think the best diving in the east coast...lovely rooms and spacious bathroom.. delicious foods for the decent rate and attentive service from waiters ...they have a river and seen crocodiles in it..swimming pool is nice & clean ..

Best beach holiday and enjoyed the vacation at Amethyst Passikudah .Excellent service from the staff also the foods. Kids love the place and they were searching crocodiles all day in the river.relaxing & peaceful environment to relax .highly Recommended
