Lovely small hotel in quiet area of Skala. Lovely room with balcony, a little disappointed with our view but we had a wonderful stay non the less. Great location, flat walk from ferry, lovely friendly & helpful staff. Breakfasts were to a high standard & we particularly liked the homemade orange cake. Hotel was very clean in all areas. Pool area with a few sun beds & chairs also a pool bar, we didn’t use it but it never looked crowded or full. Short flat stroll into Skala where there are lovely bars, tavernas & shops. The hotel also had a cat feeding station which we contributed to one night. Beautiful flowers & lovely view of monastery from breakfast terrace. Would definitely stay again if we returned to Patmos.

WOW! What a wonderful hotel… excellent position right by the port and by the beach. The reception staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room was more than perfect with a lovely sea view. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection of cooked, baked, fresh fruit, cold meat, yogurt and cereal. The only downside was we were only there for one night! Huge thank you for your help and advice regarding our visit to the Caves of Saint John.

We recharge our batteries every year at the Hotel Skala on Patmos. We have found the hotel to be a perfect platform to enjoy all the the island has to offer. The hotel's ideal location, near the lively port yet stepped back through a peaceful bougainvilla garden with sea water pool, is a key to enjoy the real Patmos paradise of blue sky and transparent water, white roofs and endless beaches with spectacular sunsets. Add a wide choice of good food and activities ranging from its legendary monastery to its late night clubs up the hill at Chora. We find the Skala Hotel's friendly and efficientg staff to be a special plus , from the first day welcome throughout the stay. Rooms are comfortable, and impeccably clean. The daily breakfast buffet is generous and a true delight to start the day on the calm terrace. We stayed for two weeks this summer and we aim to add a third week next year!

Skala hôtel is really wonderful and so balanced from every aspect. Location, rooms, reception, facilities, personnel everything rated 10 out of 10. Even better than many 5 stars hotels. Cost is reasonable, justified fully of what is offered. Many particular thanks to Anastasia!!

There are so many reasons to stay here-- extensive breakfast bar, shiny clean, several common gathering areas (pool, portico, indoor/outdoor cafe, lounge and library), immediate access to nightlife, shops, restaurants, beaches, transportation options. But the attention to guest experience and individual touches was the signature feature of my experience there. Staff would not let me pay for printing they did for me. I was offered tea when doing some late night work alone in the lounge. Ideas for things I might enjoy doing specific to my interests that were offered, staff were really observant.

Like going back to a comfortable second home, staying at the Hotel Skala is guaranteed treat in every time. And, this time, our twelfth visit, we stayed three weeks enjoying everything the hotel and Patmos have to offer--in a word, a perfect Greek island vacation made possible by a warm, friendly, and efficient management and staff who make you feel like family. The hotel is an ideal combination of location (in the heart of the town and mere steps away from the lively port and the main streets) and peace, greenery and serenity; the Skala's entrance and flower-surrounded courtyard with seawater pool with bar are set off from the main street. They are reached via a short, lush bougainvillea-covered entryway. So all you hear is the bubbling water of a small fountain as you enjoy the varied breakfast choices on the sun-drenched terrace. Rooms are comfortable and modern and kept clean, crisp and cool. In some rooms with a seaview, you can sit on the balcony and take in the blue of the sea and sky before deciding which beach or attraction you want to enjoy, day and night. Whether it's the absolutely transparent and refreshing Aegean water with fish which swim up the beaches or a visit up the hill to white-walled Chora for a daytime visit to the Unesco-recognized monastery and church sites or in the evening for fine restaurant meal with a stunning view of Skala with its twinkling lights below, you will remember the sights all winter--and come back as we did the next year! While we appreciate all the team members at the hotel, a special word here for Anastasia at the reception, Dimitris in the breakfast room, and Dimitri at the bar. Manager Dimitri, now two years into his management, is perpetuating the top quality of the Skala, with dedication to improving it every year--although it's tough to see how you can improve upon perfectoin! Thanks to all and see you next year!wh
