The stand alone AC was not working and when we asked to change room (we were the only guests in a 20+ room hotel) we were told “all the ACs are not working”. I do NOT appreciate being lied to. 20 stand alone units, all broken? Seriously? Not to mention, no apology, no concessions, zero regard for the customer.

From first ringing the doorbell to checking out four days later, our time at Castello di Pavone was excellent. The facility is gorgeous and remarkably well maintained; it has a rich history (take the free tour!). Staff are first rate--kind, courteous, professional, responsive. Our room was super comfortable--nice linens, good bed, big bathroom with bathtub. The breakfast spread is grand--meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, juices, and more. If you choose the Castello restaurant for dinner, you will not be disappointed! Again, facility, service, and food are all excellent! From the hotel, you can easily walk down to the small town of Pavone Canavese. TIP: Driving to the hotel is a little tricky! GPS took us to, basically, a walking path. The best way to find the driveway that leads to the parking area is to take VIA DIETRO CASTELLO to VIA MEANA, but turn up the hill (NOT onto VIA MEANA), passing a couple of apar**ent buildings on the right, then a short wooded area, then VOILA! the castle parking.

Beautifully restored castle. Lots of attention to detail with furnishings and decor. etc. A**ospheric. Limited dinner menu very expensive and not very good. Breakfast was good. Very surprised that there is no infornation anywere about the castle. The most unpleasant problem was that the car park is NOT on site it is way below the castle and access is by a very steep set of steps. Difficult with suitcases and for anyone elderly or with mobility problems. Also car park is not secure as it is out of sight and has no security.

Well this is a hotel unlike any other! An incredibly well preserved medieval castle turned into hotel and restaurant for a stay loaded with a**osphere. Despite it being obviously a very old place, it was perfectly comfortable albeit on the chilly side in mid January (it is a real castle)! Not quite a luxury hotel, but a pretty good standard. Huge room, a big luxurious bed, great bathroom, but really you come for the charm of a true castle experience with views of the mountains... we had a very enjoyable dinner too in their upmarket restaurant that was tasty with attentive service, and in another very impressive room, although I'd say a tad on the expensive side by local comparison.

It is a romantic Canavese castle, easily accessible from the Turin-Mont Blanc motorway, situated on a hill overlooking the village of Ivrea. It was built between the ninth and eleventh centuries. It was originally a fortress, and in 1888 Alfredod'Andrade began restoring it. In 1981 it was declared a national monument. In 1991, it was bought by the Medic company and founded by Dr. Antonio Giodice, who restored it and used it as the headquarters of the Medic company accommodation (hotel and restaurant) and conference centre. The structure is an impressive backdrop for historical reenac**ents, such as the medieval holidays in June. In addition to these medieval-inspired events in June and a high-class hotel, the restaurant is particularly suitable for romantic dinners and offers excellent dishes of the local Piedmontese tradition and beyond. Meals can be enjoyed in the former knights' hall; it is raised dining level. The entrance to the complex is via a bell and intercom, which gives it a bit of a dungeon feel. The suitcases have to be carried up some stairs. We were upgraded to the castle suite (appartamento del conte verde), which was very large and stylishly decorated. The fact that we were able to meet the owner rounded off our stay in a very positive way. You could feel the attention to detail, the respect for the guests and the care for the property. In summary, we will always have fond memories of the beautifully restored castle complex with its romantic interior, the very friendly reception, the impeccable service, the trained and very friendly staff, its excellent star cuisine, the great prices and the very good quality of sleep. Saremo felici di venire di nuovo! Grazie di tutto e spero di vedervi presto!

Ho soggiornato dal 17 al 18 maggio. Prese 2 super suite e 2 suite soggiorno dell'amore. Salviette in bagno appoggiate senza logica. Accoglienza totalmente scadente.
