Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel Reviews

An okay place to stay with a million $ view from the rather splendid pool area.  The staff were friendly and accommodating and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.  However, we frequently experienced drainage smells in the room which wasn’t very nice. The hotel staff reaction to this was to spray air freshener to mask the smell 🤔  In addition, the TV in the room did not work and thus couldn’t be fixed for us and the rooms looked a little tired.  All in all, an okay place to stay for a short stay with amazing views and a great location for bars and restaurants.

Incredible location. The sun beds around the pool, in my opinion had the best views on the island! Room is a bit dated, but that didn’t bother us. We were there to get the views, not be in the room. Breakfast was good. Best bacon I’ve had in Thailand! We would stay here again if ever in phi phi.

Geart hotel

The breakfast in the hotel is terrible, the hotel is so dirty and very run down. There are big gaps around the windows in the bedroom allowing mosquitoes in, overall cleanliness is a 0 there are broken doors just led on the floor, very dangerous electric cables behind the bedside table that keep sparking, I wish we hadn't booked 3 nights, even the swimming pool has loads of sharp plastic bits and broken tiles that are sharp etc.... I would 100% recommend avoiding this place at all costs. full refund has been asked for as I wouldn't have stayed here if I didn't have food poisoning. We were also asked to pay an extra cleaning fee this morning and told that I would have problems if I didn't pay even though we had not had the room cleaned properly, not once only bed sheets changed. Absolute scandal!!!!!

I'd stayed in Phi Phi North before, but this time I chose Koh Phi Phi Don. The resort is super easy to get to, just a 3-minute walk to the left from the pier. It's a massive resort, and the two cats at the front desk were so gentle and cute! From the comfort of your bed, you're treated to an unbeatable ocean view! Breakfast was incredibly varied and even included plain congee. The pool offers stunning views of Long Beach. It's easy to book longtail boat tours for island hopping right outside the resort. The main street has self-service laundry facilities and a plethora of dining options, plus the 7-Eleven here surprisingly boasts a wider variety of items than those in Bangkok! You can also go scuba diving, and even seniors in their 70s can hike up to Viewpoint 2 for breathtaking panoramic views!

Stayed here for 2 nights and thought the location and view from the hotel was amazing and staff very friendly. However, the rooms are very dated and in need of refurbishment.

Excellent hotel. Amazing pool with sea view! Simple rooms but with a beautiful view

The hotel's location is excellent, and we really appreciate the team's effort in arranging a room with a nice view. However, they were very strict—each time we left the room, they asked us to leave the room key at the front desk. Having to put in extra effort for this was quite frustrating. The hotel staff did help us with our luggage. We requested an extra hour for check-out, but they didn’t approve it. It's fair to say they were rather unaccommodating. Also, there has been a landslide on the road behind the hotel. It’s an unfortunate situation for the hotel, and you might prefer not to stay there for your own safety. Also, we didn’t like the coffee and tea.

The hotel was well located and the swimming pool great with an excellent view. However, the reception staff were highly unaccomodating and overall the hotel and rooms are quite rundown.

Absolutely Outstanding Stay – Exceeded Every Expectation! I had an incredible stay at this hotel, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism that immediately made me feel at home. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail felt thoughtfully planned—from the cozy bed and high-quality linens to the modern amenities and peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day.

Wonderful stay on Phi Phi Island! The location is perfect, close to the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and nightlife. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, but the bathroom is in need of renovation and felt a bit damp. Despite this, the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful location but quite dated hotel. Stunning views but that is probably the best I can say about the hotel. I had no issues or dealings with the hotel/staff to pass comment. We didn't eat in the hotel either so can't comment on the food, although we spoke to a family on a boat trip who visited the island for the day and ate at the Cabanna and said it was decent. The pool is gorgeous and plenty of available suns beds. Walk out onto the beach from the side of the pool, local long tail boats for hire.

Everything was terrible except for the location. The facilities are outdated, and the balcony door wouldn't even lock. The hotel staff were overly fawning towards white guests. Don't bother staying here.

Wonderful view, beautiful swimming pool but rooms, the bathrooms in particular are in dire need of renovation, the showers are dirty, the tiles are broken, it's incredibly uncomfortable to take a shower there.
