Mint House at the Divine Lorraine Hotel - Philadelphia

This Mint House overall had good points & some misses. Compared to the typical hotel prices and experience in NYC, Philly hotels really treat you right. The staff were amazingly helpful & friendly. The space is huge! We had a full 2 BR apartment with a kitchen, laundry, and two bathrooms. Plenty of privacy, seating rooms & nooks. The location is super convenient, as we were staying over after the last NYE seating at the 5-star (IMO) Cicala restaurant off of the lobby. The let downs were obvious maintenance issues that were present as ours was the last night of MINT having guests. Broken toilet tank lid, non-adjustable thermostat in a freezing room. Noisy streets with sirens heard frequently. No parking on site & no accessibility ramp at main entrance. Walkability to lovely, renovated MET theater. Giant supermarket is nearby, and Aldi is right across the street, so there’s no need to worry about grocery shopping. Hotel offered concierge grocery shopping prior to check-in. Nice touch. Noteworthy details: Although there are stairs at the front, which makes it tough for strollers, you can access the side door from the left via the back path, and it’s open for ADA access.

We had a wonderful stay at this historic old hotel. Very comfortable accommodations, including the bed and shower which worked flawlessly. Would definitely recommend it highly and would like to come back sometime. The staff were polite and helpful. The only drawback of course is the parking is about three blocks away, but they do give you a 20% discount on their rate.

Mint House Philly was awesome! A group of friends and I went in for a concert and we were only staying 1 night, but wanted to make it something special, so we booked Mint House. WOW! We were not let down. We were complimentary upgraded to this insanely stunning and spacious room with the best view of the city! I was in awe. The room was updated, clean, spacious, had all the amenities, and the hotel itself has a restaurant, bar, and cafe, so we really had everything we needed right there which was so nice because the weather was bad and we didn’t want to walk around. After the concert we were truly excited to come back and enjoy the room! We had so much fun and from the hallway we could hear a HUGE party going on in the room next to us, but when we went inside our suite we couldn’t hear a THING! Incredible! The beds were soft and everything was truly delightful. When we come back to Philly we will always stay at Mint House.

I was very impressed by the size of my apartment. I was able to "host" family and friends very comfortably especially with the full size kitchen and appliances. I truly felt at home. I used to live in Philly and I really appreciated the history of the location and the fact that the neighborhood wasn't "too touristy". And the Aldi is literally steps away...

We love staying here. The bed is very comfortable and the place is always very clean. The subway is right outside the door. We love the little coffee shop inside and the restaurants and that there's a grocery right next door for longer stays. We stayed in a city view this time and we loved being about to see the city!
