Plus:
The hotel has a designated smoking space in the stair case between floors.
Minus and deal breaker:
Cockroaches, the Asian cockroach (Blattella asahinai). I was greeted by these from the time I entered the room. Killed dozens including babies over the span of a very long 3 nights with no restful sleep. Each time I step out of the room, the room lights go off because I remove the card key. When I return, I see them clearly on the white floor tiles and rush to squish them but they keep spawning. I ensured there was no food or sugary drinks inside the room. They were not only in the room and around the bed, but also in the bathroom.
It is amazing to have this infestation in a modern high rise building and inside a room on 29F with no food.
The staff responded by simply apologizing for the inconvenience.
Other:
Checkin requires a deposit, however they did not have change or accept credit cards upon checkin.
The location is among Chinatown district with all Chinese clubs, spas and restaurants along the strip and block with exception to the Australian embassy situated across the road. The prices are relatively higher here, for example, a can of cola from the hotel and Chinese shops at US$2, whereas other similar shops sell for half the price or less.
The times for spa services offered are not available as indicated by hotel. When i inquired for a booking at 8pm, the front desk informed me they closed early. The hotel indicates closing time of 10pm and 1am on Friday to Sunday.
Lastly, the bathroom is not to my liking. The toilet and shower are side by side with no partition, screen or curtain, meaning water can go everywhere.
I suggest they resolve the cockroach situation for an otherwise clean room, keep petty cash for payment change, and deliver on services they promote to offer.
