The Eighty8 PP

Turned up at 6am as arrived on the overnight bus. My 2 cabin cases were carried upstairs for me to my awaiting “pod”! It had a light, plug socket & usb socket and fan, clean bedding! I slept for 5 hours until I had to leave for my plane. Bed was comfy, slept like a baby. Didn’t have time to use the amenities but saw a pool, a bar, pool table, menus , plenty of games - looked like it would’ve been a fun time! Arrived at the airport and realised I’d left my backpack & laptop etc !!! Couldn’t find the telephone no: but sent a grab and the bar man helped locate it and I managed to get it before the flight! If only I’d had more time - looked fun !

Okay, it felt a little bit more as a bar than a hostel, but maybe because of Chinese new year.

Chill and quite place to sleep. Near the street market.2km to center main sights. Very very wide beds and rooms. Humanity bien. Flowers smokie loyal.

The pod size is good enough and it's clean. The room environment is comfortable. The toilet is clean. the hostel location is easy to find. My overall experience is great here.

There was a big problem with a drunk guy that was burping and vomiting, in the capsule pods, so the staff, instead of moving him, said they could do anything, cause was a long term client and they preferred, to move me in a bunk cheaper bed.

The hostel was rather quiet this late November evening. No towel was provided. I was assigned a lower capsule and thankfully there were no bedbugs. I noticed that they did upgrade the shower/bathrooms. Wish they had a couple of urinals though. A sewer smell unfortunately hangs in the air. Still, I love the capsule concept the most. Having met someone suffering from COVID-19 in another hostel dorm just the week before has reinforced this 100-fold. As such, this capsule dorm is the best there is in Phnom Penh.
