Tropicana Resort Phu Quoc

Overall, I highly recommend this place. It offers great value for money, and the front desk staff communicated smoothly in English. The resort has a private beach very close to the rooms, and the pool is large with a beautiful view. The only drawback is a small path leading into the resort that has no streetlights at night. Ants sometimes appear in the room, but the housekeeping service cleans very thoroughly. Given the lush, natural environment, the presence of ants, geckos, and other small insects is acceptable.

Excellent hotel. It's close to the airport. The staff and management are wonderful. This isn't my first time staying here.

The hygiene is terrible. The bed made me itch all over and I broke out in a rash! It's really not clean. There were also a lot of mosquitoes. The location is at the very end of an alley. I really don't recommend it. As for breakfast... I suggest skipping it and eating out instead. 🥲

The room was spacious and quite clean, with all amenities provided. It's just a short walk to the beach, and the surroundings are very natural, though there were quite a few bugs outside (none in the room). The staff even helped carry our luggage to the room!

Huge disappointment at the Phu Quoc hotel! An awful experience, I'll never come back! During my trip to Phu Quoc, I had been staying at this hotel for several days without issue, and the experience had been quite smooth. But I never expected such an outrageous and frustrating situation upon returning to the hotel on my departure day! Even though I had booked a room through a platform in advance, when I checked in after returning from Sunset Town, the hotel directly told me there were no double beds available. They demanded an extra 500,000 VND, then later said 1,000,000 VND, just to get a double bed. They were clearly price-gouging and their attitude was unyielding and completely unreasonable. We asked if we could just get an extra blanket, and they flat-out said in Chinese, “No! Just this! Just this one!” The basic service was perfunctory and cold. We finally managed to grudgingly check into the room, but as soon as I entered the bathroom, I was terrified to see a huge cockroach crawling there. The hygiene was appalling, making me extremely uncomfortable and nauseous. When I asked for mosquito coils or insecticide, they said they didn't have any! Someone came, caught the cockroach, and then left. Throughout the whole ordeal, the hotel staff were perfunctory and evasive, showing no intention or sincerity in resolving the issues. My holiday mood was completely ruined. In the end, I had no choice but to urgently contact Trip.com's official customer service for intervention and coordination, which finally helped resolve the check-in problem. Trip.com even reimbursed us for the extra fee we were forced to pay. As a long-term guest who had stayed for several consecutive days without incident, the hotel not only lacked basic hospitality but also broke the contract last minute, engaged in disguised extortion, had dirty and messy conditions, and provided deficient service. I sincerely advise anyone planning to visit Phu Quoc to avoid this hotel at all costs and save themselves the trouble!

Cozy hotel with its own beach, beautiful grounds, responsive staff, daily room cleaning, good breakfasts, and plenty of fruit.
