Marriott's Mai Khao Resort - Phuket

Excellent! Adult breakfasts were purchased, and children's breakfasts were complimentary.

Here are the downsides: 1. Unfortunately, this isn't the large Marriott located directly on the beach. It's a 10-minute walk to the beach down the street. When it's hot, this is difficult and inconvenient, especially if you need to grab something from your room. You won't want to keep going back and forth. 2. The 'Marriott' name is the same, but the hotels are different: you can visit the grounds of the larger Marriott, but you can't swim in their pools or use their sun loungers. You can only spend your deposit on expensive services like the spa, restaurants, and bar. You can swim in the sea and lie on the beach, but in Thailand, all beaches are open to the public and free anyway. 3. The transfer to the main Marriott is an enormous truck with wooden seats. Electric carts are rare and few. From the beach, you have to call and wait for it to arrive. 4. The grounds are small, unlike the main Marriott. Not much space to explore. 5. Bicycles are free during the day, at the hottest time. After evening, it's 1000 baht. 6. Beach towels must be signed for when picked up and returned at a special counter. Inconvenient.

Very suitable for families with children, great kids' activities.

Overall, it's a bit dated, but very family-friendly.
