The hotel is just 100 meters from the sea, with a surf school right there. The views were fantastic, and most of the guests were from Europe and Russia. The service was excellent, and while there are some stairs, it wasn't an issue for getting around. They offer a complimentary buggy service to pick you up and take you to your room. The breakfast was clean and delicious, the pool was spotless, and room cleaning was well done. There's a convenience store just 50 meters away. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be kind and accommodating to Koreans, which made for a wonderful trip. There were hardly any Chinese guests.

Our stay ended up being 9 nights instead of 3! Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The only downside I can mention is that you can hear the neighboring room due to the connecting door between rooms. But this didn't spoil our vacation.

This hotel boasts a great location and beautiful views, but it's definitely in need of an update. We stayed in a Deluxe room with a sea view, and the view truly was excellent. The staff were very polite and helpful, making for a pleasant service experience. Unfortunately, the condition of the room didn't meet our expectations. The shower and plumbing were quite worn, the cleaning was subpar, and there were a lot of ants in the room. On the positive side, the hotel has a good restaurant with reasonable prices, a decent pool, and a gym. It's also worth noting that the hotel is built on a slope, so you'll be going up and down a lot of stairs. For us, this wasn't an issue and felt like a bit of physical activity. However, for those with small children, the elderly, or anyone who dislikes stairs, it could be inconvenient. Overall, we feel the cost of staying here is above average, especially considering the condition of the rooms. If beautiful views and good service are important to you, this hotel might be a good fit. But if a modern renovation and comfort are your top priorities, it's worth looking at other options.

This is a good hotel with very attentive staff. 🙂 The Wi-Fi in my room wasn't working well, and I needed it for work, so I went to sit in the lobby area near the reception to work. The manager noticed this and promised to improve the Wi-Fi in my room. And indeed, it did start working better in the room. Housekeeping and the standard two bottles of water were provided daily, along with toothbrushes, cotton swabs, soap, and shampoo. 😬 Robes, umbrellas, and slippers were also available in the room. I booked a "Superior" room, but I was given one with a sea view! 👌🏼 Breakfast is worth getting; you won't leave hungry. You can walk to Kata and Kata Noi beaches in 5 minutes from the hotel. The hotel also offers a shuttle service, but I didn't use it. Before check-out, I received a cute elephant as a gift. It's a small touch, but a nice one! I only have good impressions of this hotel, and it's certainly not my first hotel in Asia.

The service was exceptional;( I complained about the wifi, and they installed the wifi amplifier in my room! ), and the room was clean, spacious and had a great view. Every staff was always smiling, attentive and fluent in English. The facilities were also good and the location was superb. Another big plus is that the room had a good sound proof which is unusual ( both the walls and the windows). I would stay here again if I come back to Phuket!

An excellent weeks stay in Kata Beach week1 of May26. The Orchidacea was a great choice for us - spacious rooms , lovely sea view, great air con, breakfast absolutely fine the days we made it ! Pool area & bar lovely - with a 3:30 to 6:30 happy hour !! Gym decent, pool table free 👍 Yes as many other reviews advise there are steps - quite a few depending on what floor you’re allocated, however my aerobic stair master fitness has had a boost Location - Kata Beach 🏖️ just a few minutes away once outside the hotel , 7-11 and other convenience stores also close by. A stroll to the main restaurant’s street - we massively enjoyed trying the different Thai food offerings and no stomach issues whatsoever ( 4 people ) last thing to mention the Hotel Staff absolute diamonds , so friendly & helpful if you need to ask advice etc Therefore a 100% recommendation 🇹🇭☀️🍻

The views are amazing, the sun is blazing, the beach is beautiful, and the slopes are steep. The hotel is a bit old, but the room facilities are very well-maintained, without any hint of being old or dark. Instead, it feels sturdy, as if it's been polished by the sun and sea breeze. However, the exterior definitely shows signs of age; time has passed here, but you can still see glimpses of its former glory. The path outside is very steep and requires a certain level of physical fitness.

Good hotel. Two beaches within walking distance, and the food is great. The room and common areas are clean. The staff are responsive and friendly.

I really liked the hotel, we booked a room with a sea view! The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, the rooms are new and everything was clean, very pleasant! The pool is large and deep! Every day they brought a complimentary fruit plate! We were very satisfied! I just want to mention that the hotel is located a bit on a hillside, so we had to climb stairs to get to our room, but it's not a big deal!

The hotel is excellent and the location is great, but there's one drawback: the stairs are difficult for the elderly.

Overall, my hotel experience was extremely negative. Despite making a reservation months in advance and specifically stating a “quiet room” preference, upon arrival at the hotel I found that this request had not been taken into consideration at all. Even after reconfirming at the reception, we were given a room directly facing a high-traffic walkway. Although I had paid extra for a sea-view room, the position of the room meant people were constantly passing right in front of it, so we had to keep the curtains closed at all times due to lack of privacy. As a result, we had to request a room change the following day. Hot water and water pressure were seriously insufficient. The internet connection was very weak and constantly dropping. The hotel is located on a small hillside, making both access to the room and daily entry/exit quite exhausting. On the first day, the staff who greeted us drove in a visibly tense, aggressive, and unwilling manner. This attitude negatively affected the entire first impression of the stay. In general, the staff’s attitude was not just cold, but openly disrespectful and surly. They were unhelpful in communication with guests and made it feel uncomfortable to even request basic things. Even when asking for water or coffee during the day, their unwillingness and dissatisfaction were clearly noticeable. Additionally, one day before checkout, we were specifically asked to confirm the exact departure time, and an invoice was sent early with a request for payment, creating the impression of pressure to “leave as soon as possible.” During checkout, we were also made to wait extra time under the excuse of room inspection. For 6 days, no one ever asked about or offered any cleaning service. The breakfast was generally not bad, but despite the size of the property, the lack of sufficient cooling equipment (fans, etc.) in hot weather significantly reduced comfort. As a result, this is a hotel that should definitely not be preferred when there are many much better alternatives in the same price range nearby. Overall assessment: a highly disappointing stay in terms of expectations, service quality, and staff attitude.
