JW Marriott properties in Phuket

Look no further, I’m definitely coming back! Hotel sent me an email on prior to arrival to confirm my stay, probably because they can see I’m on their Bonvoy membership program. It’s our wedding anniversary so they gave us a free upgrade, which is very kind of them. They also set up the room on prior to my check in (hotel emailed us to ask my check in time) with extra bedding, a baby cot and some baby amenities as my husband made a remark that I just gave birth. Check in was efficient. Marriot surprised us with several cakes & treats during our stay, when we were in the room and at their bar. Breakfast was a delight, and it ends at 11am, meaning we can catch up with some sleep. Sea turtles visit session was meaningful and loving. Loved the pools, so much fun hanging out with other families/ guests. During our last night, we spent our time at the hotel bar as they hosted live performances there with unbeatable happy hour deals. The vibes was really nice and we danced with other guests, it almost felt like we were on a cruise! I’m really missing the time there. Bam/Bem at the breakfast restaurant was so attentive, he gave me straws for my drinks while he observed I was looking for some. Offered to get me a soda water as I was craving for a coke at breakfast. Jeeja at the bar sent us a cake and some postcard & tea leaves from the hotel as surprises. Some red shirt staffs near main pool needs to be trained on hospitality and understand they are no better than any staffs at the hotel- Pong saw some guests at the pool but was busy chitchatting with his colleagues about the fun he had last night. When I asked where the towels are, he told me his working hour only start from 9am. I looked at my watch, it was 9:04. Then he lied about busy doing briefing with his colleagues. Too bad I caught him lying as I speak some Thai. The next day he saw me again, and he looked away, no greetings or whatsoever. If I were the management team, I would surely take action and make sure this doesn’t happen again. We rent a car so transportation was not an issue for us, although you can pretty much get everything you need at the resort. I wish I spent more time at the hotel to make good use of the gym, pools, as well as their fun free activities! Overall, it is worth every penny and exceeded my expectations. If the management team can get more training for the red shirt staffs, this hotel deserves a 6 star rating :)
