The environment is quite nice, but I really wouldn't recommend staying here. For this price, there are much better options available.
It's very close to the beach as the crow flies, but you can't cut through the hotel opposite, so it's about a ten to fifteen-minute walk. And with Phuket being so hot, I had absolutely no desire to walk. I had to rely on the hotel shuttle to get to the other end of the beach.
The last shuttle back in the evening is at 7:30 PM. If you miss it, you'll have to take a taxi or make the arduous walk back. Just a heads up, taxi fares in Phuket start quite high.
The hotel is on a hill, and walking from the room to the lobby, and then to the beach, is quite tiring. So after trying to walk once, I relied entirely on the hotel shuttle or taxis.
There's a coffee shop and a massage parlor diagonally across from the hotel, but neither offers good value for money. This means dining options nearby are inconvenient; you still have to go to the beach or use the hotel restaurant.
At 1500/night during the Chinese New Year surge, it was acceptable. However, I thought it would be just a short walk to the beach, which wasn't the case, so I was quite disappointed. And the key thing is, it's also on a hill... so much effort involved.
Just checked out of the hotel, still feeling the sea breeze and pool mist, and wanted to share my incredibly rejuvenating stay.
The moment I opened the door, I was captivated: a vast tropical garden stretched out beyond the room's balcony, the pool shimmered with a bright blue under the sun, and palm trees swayed in the distance. Even the air carried a fresh, verdant scent. A few steps downstairs and I was in the pool. The shallow end and kids' splash area were impeccably clean. I spent the whole afternoon playing with my child, who couldn't stop laughing at the slides and little fountains. As an adult, I relaxed on a nearby lounge chair, soaking up the sun and listening to the sounds of water and laughter – everything just slowed down.
The hotel is incredibly close to Nai Thon Beach, just a few minutes' walk to soft sand. In the evening, we watched the sunset over the ocean, with orange and pink light spreading across the water. The distant mountain silhouettes merged with the hotel's outline, and the air carried a salty scent. It was a hundred times more comfortable than any trendy tourist spot.
The breakfast selection wasn't overly flashy, but the Thai noodles, freshly baked bread, and tropical fruits were all incredibly fresh. After a satisfying meal, we'd leisurely stroll back to the room, and even the daily pace felt unhurried. The staff service was also very thoughtful; check-in and check-out were smooth, and everyone I encountered had a smile on their face. Asking for directions or borrowing something was always met with a cheerful and prompt response.
The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the bustling Patong, but that perfectly suited our desire for a quiet and peaceful vacation. If you want to escape crowded commercial areas and just relax by the pool and beach, this hotel is absolutely perfect.

I had an overall good stay at Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay. The location is excellent — peaceful and slightly away from the busy areas, yet still very convenient to reach Patong and nearby attractions.
When I first checked in, I wasn’t happy with the ocean view from the room I was allocated. Thankfully, the staff were very understanding and quickly arranged a room change, which I really appreciated. Their responsiveness made a big difference to my experience.
One thing I really liked was their hotel app. It’s very convenient — you can request the shuttle, order food, and even request medicine directly through the app. It made everything smooth and hassle-free.
The only downside for me was the breakfast selection. While the quality was decent, I wish there were more options and variety.
Overall, a good stay with a great location and helpful service. I would consider staying again.

Facilities: It's an apartment converted into a hotel, so the amenities are quite complete. The breakfast isn't very extensive, but it changes daily, which is a nice touch. My biggest complaint is the slippers; they're as thin as paper and incredibly slippery when wet, so be careful.
Hygiene: The hygiene is very good. You get the same standard whether you tip or not, though it would be great if there was a trash can in the living room.
Environment: Since it's an apartment, it's like a residential complex, which is pretty good. You can generally see the sea from most rooms.
Service: I arrived very late, and no one offered to help with my luggage, nor was there any Chinese-speaking service available. I wonder if early arrivals get these services.

Well thanks to trip.com my favourite site! I was able to secure a good rate. The hotel is very liveable, location is good enough.. notjing major Note these are residential condos, so you can treat it like a residential longer stay.. some issues with cleaning ..depends on housekeeping which lady is cleaning in the day different standards. From excellent to poor, It also depends which building you are in C oldest B A block, in you get the block with the front view these are good.. but first experience was C and had to move the next day.. due to issues seen in other reviews written by other guests. Restaurant at the lake is nice!, however I missed most of my included breakfasts. Beach is relaxed walk of 20 mins to naiyang.. wear your sun hat or carry umbrella. Get some good exercise. The supermarket to buy water is 10 -15 mins walk.. issue if you dont like walking.. but I do.
There is a shuttle buggy that will take your luggage to the condos, note reception is 10 mins walk, however its not easy to call them when you check out, no phones in the room.. but you can try to call via a condo lobby phone or walk to reception.
The condos are very popular with nice large Russian families and tourists and big groups from delayed flights. So it gets busy.
They have buggy that does go naiyang village 20 mins walk. Can leave early. So be waiting before and may be busy.
The grounds of the Condo are fine and its right next to Phuket international airport. So no long transfers.
Note this is not a beach hotel, you are booking condo rooms, so for some people this is what they like.
Kitchens don't have cutlery, or heating for cooking. However kettle and tea provisions are there and provided. The balconies people dont sit out on, due to placement of air con units. A few do have outfacing air-conditioning but didn't see anyone on the balconies, In room air-conditioning in good. Hotel has strict rules for safety and security and needs these because of the large groups. I felt safe didn't cause me issues
Pool is large and fully shaded all day, so you dont get sun burnt. However some long term residents as its a condo, do over use the amenities, which is sad, eg one resident lady swam for 5 hours a day in a clockwise motion, annoying me and friends and everyone.. so I and friends stopped using the pool and hiked to the beach each day.. otherwise pool would have been fine. Condo building management issue.. not the hotel's fault at all.
You can consider this more as a residential option long stay hire a scooter or a car. Reception staff were fine. Main hotel reception area was ok with air-conditioning. Restaurant closes 9pm breakfast 10am which I missed
Through my own choices I ended up booking three times for my 5 night stay so I will have 3 reviews I’m assuming.
The first booking is for one night so I will give this review for the first night.
This resort is at a fair price point in my opinion as of when I made my reservations.
Now for the details:
Cleanliness - good but not great. Didn’t have any issues with the bath water like some other posts but did have issues with mosquitoes. The half bath of the one bedroom suite has a serious mosquito issue that I’ve notified them about. Not sure where they were coming in but somewhere in the half bath to the point that I would not go in to use it at all. They allowed me to move to another room for the 2nd night so I’ll write a separate review for that one. In the meantime, if you are given room D-204 please be aware and ask them if they have corrected the mosquito issue in the half bath.
Location - good. I prefer not to sleep in the middle of Patong although it is more convenient to be close to all the stores so this part is good for me especially when the hotel provides a shuttle to Patong. The property is on a hillside so there’s plenty of greeneries but it’s also challenging going up and down the hill when walking to and back from the hotel restaurants and pools.
Service - good. They were accommodating when I asked to move to another room due to the mosquito issue. They were also good to provide hand towels and wash clothes however I’ve never had to ask for any hotel to provide them after checking in. They were expected to be there already.
Amenities - excellent. The hotel provides shuttle to Patong. They have restaurants that are higher but not too overpriced. They have plenty of pools. There’s a spa and a gym onsite. Even an ATM!
I take reviews seriously and don’t do reviews on places that I haven’t used myself at least once and preferably twice. It is intended to help future customers and also for the hotel to correct issues.

We stayed at Wyndham Grand Nai Harn Phuket from 15–19 January, booking 4 rooms for a group of 8 people, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome along with a nice welcome drink, which set the tone for the stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, even with a large group. The team thoughtfully allocated the rooms based on our preferences and provided extra towels without any hassle.
The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay — always smiling and ready to assist.
The rooms are spacious, very clean, and smell fresh, which we really appreciated. The bathroom is also large, well-designed, and includes a smart toilet seat. A small but memorable detail: the shower gel smells really nice and adds a premium touch to the experience.
Breakfast was good, with a fresh fruit station every day, plus live omelette and pancake stations. While it was enjoyable, I personally felt it didn’t fully match what I would expect from a 5-star hotel — though it was still pleasant and well-organized.
The hotel has multiple swimming pools, including dedicated pools for kids, which is great for families. We also noticed that some pools were warmer than others — not sure if this was intentional, but it was actually quite nice depending on the time of day.
A big plus is the shuttle bus service to and from Nai Harn Beach, which makes getting around very convenient.
Overall, a great hotel with excellent service, spacious rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere. I would strongly recommend it and would happily stay here again.
