Beautiful facility, friendly and welcoming staff. A little carelessness in the maintenance of the greenery.

We stayed here for one night after a weeks sailing holiday. It is honestly a wonderful hotel, super clean, fantastic views, food and drinks. But the real heroes are the wonderful staff who couldn’t do enough for you, especially the manager. 5* stay, thank you 🤗

A huge thanks to Spyros, Nicos, Maria and all the staff working there for their kindness and attentiveness. Super room with panoramic views. We had room 318. We used the lift as well as the stairs. The food was excellent together with the service. Plenty of choice for breakfast. There was a buffet dinner one night which had plenty of choice and was of high quality. Rooms were cleaned daily. Comfortable beds and pillows. It was very peaceful and quiet. We arranged taxi to Myrtos Beach from down town, costs was €20 each way. Well worth the day trip. Also recommend seeing both caves. Lovely stroll to the local supermarket and great cheese shop next door. This hotel is the perfect place to stay. Within easy walking distance to the village. We had dinner at some of the local tavernas, particularly enjoyed the Pergola. We will definitely come back again. Happy memories.

We had a lovely holiday staying at the Kefalonia Bay hotel and really enjoyed our week but there is definitely room for improvement! The hotel seemed very dated in parts and could do with some TLC. The room was very comfortable but could generally have done with some updating. The breakfast was okay. We used the hotel bar on a couple of occasions and were the only people there - it had no atmosphere at all so I think people preferred to stay in their rooms for a drink! Big warning, there are a lot of steps which don't seem to be highlighted anywhere. My husband has some mobility issues and was quite concerned at the start of the week! He managed okay but could see this being a real issue for some. There is a lift up to some of the rooms but you can end up waiting as there is just the one. We counted almost 200 steps from the entrance gate to our room... Our highlight was definitely the pool and the amazing view but the pool bar could have been a bit nicer. Nothing wrong with it per se but just a bit nothingy. The staff were very helpful and friendly by the most part and the room was cleaned well everyday. No issues with the service, it is just not the 4 star hotel we were sold.

I generally don't like to be influenced by reviews as we all have different likes and dislikes but on this occasion I wish I had read them before booking as it seems we were nearly all likeminded. I fail to see how this hotel has 4 stars - possibly when it first opened but those days are long gone (being rated 4 stars also means you have to pay tourist tax the 4 star rate of €10 per day). The hotel is built on a hill with a steep drive to reception. From there guests can take 2 outside lifts plus steps to various room levels and another inside lift to take you down and closer to the pool with yet more steps to reach it. If walking back from the harbour it was 72 steps to the 1st lift and if wanting to avoid lifts altogether 179 to our room. Though good exercise this wasn’t quite what we wanted from a hotel and feel, like others holidaying at the same time, that mention of this in hotel descriptions would have been helpful. Steps aside we had booked 2 deluxe double rooms and although both were of reasonable size the rooms were not welcoming and definitely in need of an update. They were, however, clean and the maid changed our towels daily. The best feature in the hotel was its pool. A very good size with fantastic views over the bay and never a scramble for sun beds. The hotel provided pool towels and even provided towels and umbrellas to take to the beach which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good but am unable to comment on the evening meals as we didn’t see anyone eating in the restaurant past breakfast. Sadly the hotel overall looked neglected, the gardens were unkept and a coat of paint here and there would have gone a long way to improve impressions.

Great location! Walking distance to town, 14km to myrtos beach, 10km to caves Staff are amazing! Very warm and friendly! The rooms.. mmm.. Definitely needs an upgrade. Scuff marks, scratches. Mattress wasn't too comfortable. Aircon was very loud. Be prepared for stairs and walking! With luggage, not the most convenient. Food wasn't great. Even though I got half board, I ate out most of the time. As much as I liked the staff and location, I don't find it value for money.

I honestly don’t see how this is a 4-star hotel. The constant sewage smell ruins everything – you can’t enjoy the view or sleep with windows open. The room had ants everywhere, even in the bed, and cleaning was sloppy (the same black hair stayed in my bathroom all week). The hotel is extremely outdated and in desperate need of renovation. Breakfast is below average, parking is up a very steep hill, and while the staff is polite, it doesn’t make up for the rest. I really don’t get all the good reviews – this place was totally not worth the money.

Just back from this hotel a couple of days ago. There are plenty of good things to say about it: The views are stunning, the pool is gorgeous, the staff are lovely & helpful, the breakfast area was attractive, clean & we had no complaints about the food, we had clean towels every day & were given pool towels on arrival. There are, however, a few negatives: There are 179 steps from the road level to our room on the 3rd floor which I began to dread. I’m a fit person with no mobility issues but coupled with the heat those steps were something I will never be repeating again. The room was de luxe apparently - it was spotlessly clean, reasonably comfortable but dated & not welcoming. I don’t mind about the size of the tv as we had no intention of being in one of the most beautiful places in the Med & watching television. I can’t comment on the rest of the food as we were only b&b. The outside areas were sadly neglected - very overgrown trees & lots of weeds. I imagine it’s all down to money but some little things like sprucing up the outside areas & adding a couple of colourful pots go a long way to make a place looked cared for.
