The location is good. However, the hotel itself is too old and the hostility is poor.
The front desk only hands you a key upon check-in and doesn't provide any information about the hotel.
There's no elevator to the reception floor, so you have to climb the stairs to the second floor.
A previous review suggested there was a large public bath, but there was no explanation or map of the building, so I didn't even know if it was there or not.
There was only one outlet in the room. The refrigerator was broken.
The closet was stiff and creaky.
The bathtub was large, but it took a while for the hot water to heat up, so filling it with water also took a while. (It's supposed to be a jetted tub, but it seems to have been out of service for quite some time.) Breakfast was included, but I was surprised to find a sandwich and what appeared to be milk tea hanging on the door handle in the morning without any explanation. At over 10,000 yen per night, this is just poor value.
If you're going to stay at Sichongxi Hot Springs, you should spend twice as much and stay at a better place!
