The host was incredibly hospitable and thoughtful, providing us with an ancient city map and even helping us plan our itinerary. The guesthouse was spotlessly clean and full of traditional charm. We were also extremely pleased with the recommended travel photography service. Overall, it was a truly delightful and emotionally fulfilling experience!

The courtyard is beautiful, and the location is very convenient. The couple who own the place were incredibly warm and hospitable, and they even surprised us with a gift of vinegar.

Friendly Tip: Should you require pickup from the train or bus station, a dedicated driver service is available. Simply arrange it with the owner in advance, and you'll find the driver offers very reasonable rates!

The hotel has a charming surroundings. Room quite small but ok. The towels were dirty but we got cleaned ones after we asked. The glasses in the bathroom were really dirty, didn’t used it. Location of the hotel was good though it was difficult to find. After heavy rain(s) the alley to the hotel was all underwater so, we had to buy plastic covers shoes. Next morning the allay was cleared up.

The rooms, with their solid wood furnishings, were the epitome of rustic charm and ultimate coziness. Beyond any guidebook, the lovely proprietress personally shared insider tips and even hand-drew a 'pitfall-avoidance' map for the ancient city. As she wisely put it, 'This isn't just an inn; it's a second home hidden in the ancient city.' I simply can't wait to stay here again on my next visit to Pingyao! ❤️
