The facilities are modern and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the area has great offerings.

The only negative aspect of our stay was the noise. The hotel is located across from a busy street and a bridge. Several restaurants and shops are within walking distance, making it a great area to explore. The room itself is small, but very clean and attractive.

Tryp was awesome. Great historical location and renovation. Location was fun, safe. Staff was excellent. Will strongly recommend. Only one issue - apparently a new rule was implemented regarding checking in early afternoon. After a 6 hour drive I arrived at 1:15pm and asked to check in. I travel for a living so I was a bit disappointed to hear it would cost an additional $50 to get my room an 1 1/2 "early". I asked if it was ready and was told yes. So after a 6 hour drive my choice was to sit in the lobby for an hour and a half+ or pay the $50. I said I understood if I was trying to check in at like 9:00 am. When checking out Tryp made the experience right. Overall, as a frequent visitor to pittsburgh I look forward to returning and highly recommend.
