Omni William Penn Hotel

Elegant hotel, early 20th century, well maintained, comfortable, clean, great amenities, great location. I have only good things to say. It is a great hotel.

We were expecting a pleasant stay at this hotel, but were quite disappointed. First, the wi-fi connection in our room was horrible. When it worked, it was very slow, but it continually kicked us off the Internet. We asked for help three times with no improvement. I had work that had to get done during the trip, so the poor service kept us from doing some of the things we wanted to do in Pittsburgh. Second, a vagrant pursued me in the hotel lobby. I had never before experienced a panhandler in the lobby of a hotel. Three, we had problems with a toilet that did not flush properly. Not something one would expect from a hotel in this price range. We reported these issues multiple times. No one seemed to care.

I had a room with a shared door to another room. You could hear everything from the other room. It also took a bit for warm water in the morning and no coffee in the room. Which was a bummer but a great coffee shop in the lobby but pricey.

The Omni William Penn was absolutely old school elegant. The property was gorgeous and well cared for. There was a reasonably priced parking lot which we selected instead of valet parking. The location was wonderful with many great restaurants nearby. It was our first visit to Pittsburgh and the Omni William Penn was one of the many highlights of our trip. Treat yourself to memorable elegance!!!!

Walking distance to the convention center and several restaurants. Hotel does have two places to eat later at night which was very convenient. Beds were comfortable and room had everything that we needed for our three night stay. Staff was friendly and helpful!

This is our second time staying here because it is convenient to walk to the Convention Center. It’s an older property and our room was an odd very small corner room. The shower curtain did not contain the shower water well so we had to be careful to not flood the floor. There isn’t much for quick grab food options especially late at night so it’s nice to have food options at the hotel.
