Such a great time. Placencia, and Chabil Mar in particular, is such a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. Once you book, they handle everything for your meals, excursions, travel. The excursions were so much fun and we loved the town but we also never wanted to leave the resort. Be on the lookout for manatees and a gray fox during breakfast and dinner. Lastly, all of the staff were incredible, so friendly and helpful. They were next level at an already next level resort.

The STAFF is amazing…Chris (GM) has assembled an amazing team. I mean….I cannot recall going somewhere for a week WITHOUT a service complaint. From reservations to pick up…to daily living….they pamper you….small venue..only 22 rooms….they don’t let outsiders in …so it is warm and personal.

Everything is perfect. Gorgeous grounds, friendly accommodating staff, excellent kitchen. Beautiful Villa, large, comfortable, all the amenities. I would not stay anywhere else on another trip to Placencia. Thank you so much for taking such great care of me and my daughter.

We just spent the BEST 6 days at Chabil Mar to kick off our spring break. The staff was just so kind, went above and beyond to make sure everything was just perfect. I can't say enough kind things about this place from the GM, Chris, to Ferdinand and Humberto at the bar and Nikita at the concierge to everyone in between. The food is just delicious, and to have it delivered anywhere on the property is wonderful. Our villa was just perfect for our family (villa 10) with 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, 2 full baths, a living room, wrap-around porch with a hammock, maybe 30 feet from the sea and wonderful AC. Our 11 year old son, hit it on the head when he said this is one of his favorite hotels he has ever stayed at because it is so high-end but yet, low-key. He is correct, and that is a hard combination to achieve. We would 100% go back to Chabil Mar! Thank you for making our first 6 days so magical and unforgettable.

Fantastic property. So relaxing on site, yet a short, bike or golf cart ride to town for restaurants, bars and shops. A perfect mix of exclusion yet close to anything you could need. One of my favorite stays in years of vacationing around the world.

We spent a week here and completely enjoyed our stay. The staff really takes good care of you. We liked the drinks and food delivered to you anywhere on the resort. The Villa was clean, comfortable and right on the ocean. We spent so much time on the deck just relaxing.

We spent 5 incredible nights. Highly recommend! Everyone on the staff was friendly and very welcoming. They put together two wonderful tours together for us and arranged a package where we had 3 dinners at Chabil Mar and 2 dinner vouchers at selected restaurants. Every meal tasted so good and always so much food. The villas were large, comfortable and had incredible views. This trip was just the refresher we needed to get out of the Colorado snow. Thank you Chabil Mar for taking such good care of us! Hope to be visiting you again in the future!

Our first trip to Belize to escape winter and Chabil Mar was perfect! Small resort with beautiful accommodations. Quiet, very peaceful. On-site food is fantastic, grounds are beautiful, very clean and well manicured. Resort caters to your every need, whenever needed. Staff is extremely accommodating and responsive. They will coordinate tours, restaurant reservations, air travel, etc. Location to Placencia village is great, providing a nice 2mi walk to the end of the peninsula with plenty of shopping, bars and restaurants along the way. You can rent their golf carts as well if desired. All around our experience was 5-star. We will definitely be back next year!

From the first moment of contact via email to the last minute on the property it was 5 star service all the way! We took my parents here for their 60th anniversary. Every single person from office to grounds keeper are the most polite and helpful people we have met. The resort is perfectly situated on the beach, and just a few mins walk into town. The property is stunning with amazing bushes shaped into animals. The food is 5 star with a great variety and they cooked the fish for us that we had caught on a day out on a charter. The customer service is the best we have had anywhere in the world. The smiles and happiness from everyone, especially Nikita who's laugh and smile is infectious, made our stay one of the best experiences we have had. You must stay here if you visit Placencia!
