Turtle Inn

The service is beyond exemplary. All of the staff, Sylvano, Anthony, Suzeli…all made our stay very comfortable. The property is very inviting and relaxing. The one thing I’d say is that on really hot and humid days, the lack of AC can be an issue. Most of our stay, it was very comfortable and breezy. Love the place.

This was our 2nd trip to the Turtle Inn and this time we brought our family which included 3 toddlers and their parents.We stayed at Sofias Beach House which was perfect for our group.The house is set up for families and had its own private pool plus it is beachfront and a few steps to the Caribbean Sea.Our attendant Sucely was amazing ,she anticipated our every need an made sure we were always comfortable.Sucely arranged snorkelling trips,massages and boat trips and made sure we were taken care of at the restaurants on the property.The toddlers loved visiting the chickens and collecting the eggs.We made some wonderful family memories and hope to return to the Turtle Inn with our family in the future.Thank you to the amazing staff who were always so friendly and especially to Sucely plus a truly luxurious resort

This is our 4th time visiting Turtle Inn and every visit has been exceptional. The accommodations, food and service are top notch and the staff are amazing. We were there a week and it flew by. There’s always so much to do there. Highlights of this trip included snorkeling, where we saw rays, turtles, sharks and beautiful coral, and a cooking class, followed by a huge lunch. It’s also a great place to read a book and catch up with friends. We love Turtle Inn and keep coming back.

The setting of the Inn is lush and unspoiled with many birds generating the only sounds you will here there. There are few people on the beautiful beaches, lovely swimming in both pools and ocean. Possibly, the most spacious and comfortable cottages to be found at a resort in central America. Gorgeous Bali-themed cottages with every amenity you can think of. No TV - yes!! Good Wifi. Both service and activities are first class and very friendly. A special treat are the restaurants. A range of creative dishes sourcing local seafood and always using fresh organic produce from their own gardens. You will taste the difference that makes. Thank you!!

My husband and I visited Coppola’s Blancaneaux, Turtle Inn and La Lancha 17 years ago. We decided it would be a great trip to bring our 14 and 15 year old on. We visited Blancaneux for 3 nights and Turtle Inn for 4 nights. Jessica was amazing for the past 6 months working with me booking the trip, transfers and excursions. We did a package that included most of our food and outings and I think the value was great! We love the beach setting of Turtle Inn. The new addition of the wine aquarium and outdoor pizza cafe were very cool. We loved the garden and enjoyed eating authentic Italian pizza and Prosecco in that wonderful setting. The staff was super friendly and took time with the kids and rallied them to play volleyball on the beach with other guests. Interesting enough we met two other families where the couples had visited previously and had now come to bring their middle school and teen kids. That is a very good indicator of what a great family vacation this was!

We followed Ms. Mancini's itinerary in her excellent article published for the (now -sadly- defunct) Departures magazine from Amex; (saved that review)..Three nights at Blankeneaux and four at Turtle inn were amazing. At Blankeneaux we enjoyed the equestrian tour encompassing the rainforest and open arrid pine plains for their diversity and contrast. Service at both resorts was outstanding. Blancaneaux and Turtle Inn are both very special properties. The accommodations were outstanding for their layout, high quality materials, craftsmanship of such, along with their ability to blend in with nature. The trip set up for us was comprehensive because it included marvelous features, easy seamless transfers, meals, and experiences with excellent guides. Loved having our own dedicated tour and guides where it mattered. ALL the well trained hotel staff, and guides were wonderful. Of note was our guide at Blancaneaux; Alex, who took us through Barton creek cave and Caracol Mayan Ruins. Their knowledge, friendly nature, and training is appreciated and notable. The garden tour - at both properties - was fondly delivered and excellent. But back to Turtle Inn...the challenges as a result of climate change...are upon us all. Beaches we enjoyed in the past...have begun to feel these effects. Placencia has not been spared. Having had a seaside family retreat as a younger self, reminds us that we are simply stewards of such beauty within nature. We loved the sunset cruise in vintage boat, taking in a lovely westward look over the Maya Mountains and Guatemala. The snorkeling excursion was terrific - fish among reefs, delicious lunch on the beautiful island beach, second stop for turtles, sharks and rays....simply a wonderful day on and in the sea. We enjoyed a terrific dinner in downtown Placencia at Omars. Highlights: *Feeling safe in Areas we visited * the "shellphone" in our room - so fun *Salads at Blankeneaux - tender sublime greens...super fresh handpicked with homemade dressing YUM. Memorable. *River swims at Blankeneaux *Spa treatment in room at Turtle Inn *Wine tasting at Turtle Inn *Pizza turtle inn * Total darkness in Barton Cave *Watching our family and friends swim/snorkel with loggerhead turtle *and....drum roll......Coppola Wines~!

Placencia is a very nice laid back beach destination in wonderful Belize and Turtle Inn really has no competition at the upper end of lodgings. We stayed 16 days in Cottage 10 overlooking the water and we loved every day. It might have been nicer to have had closer access to a wifi repeater since this particular cottage may be the one with the weakest signal, but there are so many wonderful places to lounge on the property with excellent internet service, so this was only a minor inconvenience. The location of the cottage was worth it. We never missed ac because there was always a breeze and the lack of ac made things much quieter. The restaurants are pricey but worth it for special occasions. The continental breakfasts are complimentary and the inn offers free evening shuttle service into Placencia where there are a number of fun places to eat. Also free use of bikes, snorkel gear and kayaks made us feel like we were at camp. We took advantage of the excursion to Silk Caye to snorkel with nurse sharks, spotted eagle rays and leatherback turtles. Definitely worth it. The organic garden with chickens and rabbits is impecable and provides fresh produce to the restaurants on the property. Staff were always attentive, and Pony is truly a gardening guru as well as a very, very nice person, we were impressed with Melvin’s birding expertise during our complimentary morning walk with him, Noe definitely has the best laugh and attitude of them all and you should be sure to schedule a pickleball game with Noe and Martin, the General Manager, who could barely contain himself after barely eking out two victories over us and yes, we demand a rematch and this time we won’t hold back. 😁 Bill and Lou Ella Tucker

5* service. I'm a hotel junkie and had been looking forward to coming to Turtle Inn for years. Usually with that much time to raise my expectations they are not met. That was not the case here. Rooms, overall quality, service, food, location, etc. are absolutely top notch. Eat everything, drink everything!

Turtle Inn is truly paradise. The staff are all attentive, kind,professional and efficient in every way. The setting and facilities are simply fantastic. If you want activities or to simply relax in a great atmosphere both can be had at Turtle Inn. Don't forget the food and wine. They are exceptional to say the least and the staff go out of thier way to meet your every need with a smile. Thank you Turtle Inn. We hope to return again and again!
