Hotels near Mióptica, Playa Blanca

We have recently returned from a week’s stay at Elba as a family of 3 (2 adults and a 3 year old) - we stayed half board. The hotel itself is lovely both interior and exterior. The rooms are cleaned daily and very spacious. The outside areas are lovely and very quiet and peaceful making them a nice play to sit during the day or evening. The staff are fab - very friendly and helpful and can’t do enough for you. They were so attentive to my little boy and were always going out of their way to make him smile which he loved. The location is great - a short walk to all amenities but is quite uphill on the walk back but you can jump a taxi easy. The entertainment for the children is brilliant. The animation team are so hard working and make it a magical experience for the kids. They mini disco in the evening was a big hit with all the little ones. The only negative thing about this hotel is the food/dining experience. It could feel quite chaotic at meal times as it could be difficult to find a clean table. There were no coffee cups most mornings which could be quite frustrating so we just reverted to taking our cups from the hotel room to breakfast with us - save spending 20 mins trying to find one. (The coffee is very good btw) There are paper cups at breakfast but I don’t think they are intended as an alternative to proper cups - they are used for milk for tea etc. I did notice some plates/cutlery were still dirty and there was never any bowls for cereal or desert during breakfast and dinner. The food is ok. It’s edible but nothing more. It’s often cold and there is little choice in the children’s corner. It’s just chips, hotdog sausages, chicken nuggets etc. The food really lets this hotel down in my opinion but it definitely didn’t spoil our holiday. We ended up eating out most nights as the food was pretty bad. The hotel seems quite short staffed and there was often a long queue for drinks at the bar but it does go down very quickly. I don’t think I queued for more than 5 mins throughout our holiday. We would definitely return to this hotel but would not bother staying all inclusive or half board again as it really wasn’t worth it. If you are planning to visit this hotel and enjoying eating out at restaurants rather than at eating in the hotel then it is definitely worth visiting!

We have just returned from a winter break to Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and wonderful service and pampering of the staff of the Princess Yaiza. What a beautiful hotel to relax in and a great location for the resort overall. The staff really go out of their way to ensure you are taken care of and the extensive and fresh buffet breakfast each morning was outstanding. Nice touch with the Americano Freshly made Coffee's. We had 2 meals at the hotel which were excellent and you would really not need to leave the Hotel at all if you chose to, there were so many restaurants to choose from. Nothing left undone, and highly recommended. We will be back for sure.

We have had only excellent experiences with H10 hotels so was very disappointed with White Suites. The good : The staff were very friendly and worked hard but they had to because it was very obvious that they were understaffed(maybe they had difficulty recruiting or more likely a management decision in my view) , Our room wasn't ready on arrival even though it was 5pm ( short staffed)but we were offered another temporarily where we could shower, which was appreciated. Thanks there to the guest relations guy (didnt get his name) but he was great all week always wanting to help if needed. The room was a deluxe with the private shared pool, newly renovated and good quality (we had to pay extra for this). The not so good: The food was of a poor standard, I know we are all different when it comes to this but even if you try and get over the fact that it was nearly always luke warm the basic quality of the ingredients was well below H10 standards. Poor choice of prepared salad dishes at lunch only once did they serve a simple bowl of tuna or sardines, thats not expensive surely. The cooked to order meat and fish was not of good quality either, dinner & lunch. Overall not good The general areas of the hotel are just too small for the number of guests. Very difficult to get a sunbed with a functioning brolly (lots reserved by 9am it was quite amusing when there was a downpour one morning and the towels etc. got soaked). The dining room is manic, nowhere to sit for the evening entertainment which was at the pool bar, the lobby bar small with very uncomfortable chairs only 1 sofa. I dont want to be negative but we wont be returning to the White Suites, it was not cheap so I was relying on our other H10 hotel experiences expecting to get value for money, sadly not. The H10 Timanfaya Palace at the other side of the port is so much better and will go there instead next time we visit Playa Blanca

3rd visit to this hotel. Few changes but not for the best. They have changed restaurants to buffet style in evenings. The food was 1st class before but has really gone down and very very expensive . I went to get myself a drink at the bar and because only one person serving it took around 25 mins, by the time i got back our towels had been removed from lounger, towels that you now have to pay for, apparently they do this so people don't reserve sunbeds but there so many empty beds everywhere. Had to go to reception to get more towels. Credit for cleaning rooms has changed also for the worst. Shame as all the staff are lovely and the hotel is spotless. Also taken away all English tv channels, don't go on holiday to watch tv but would like to watch news or something in evenings. You have to have a Netflix account to watch any tv, which we don't have . Shame as we wont return due to all the changes they have made.

My phone was stolen from my room while I was in the shower...I had ”locked” both patio sliding doors and went for shower...Came back into room 5-7 mins later phone was gone....My patio left hand door was open,someone had got in to my room....I examined the door and locks...The left hand door lock wasn't working correctly...I went to reception and they sent down a handyman/caretaker... He confirmed lock was broken and replaced it the next morning....The hotel manager Miguel took my details and said their insurance company would compensate....I had to purchase a new phone same as the stolen one...€500.... I have been emailing the manager for the last 2 months and all I'm getting is rubbish replies.....The hotel has TOTALLY failed to secure my room (my young daughter could have been in room when someone robbed my phone)...The hotel is FULLY RESPONSIBLE for room security ensuring all doors/locks work properly.....The hotel is FULLY RESPONSIBLE for my phone being stolen....The hotel REFUSE TO REFUND MY LOSS....Hence why I'm posting this as a warning to anyone thinking of using this hotel...Declan...We stayed there for a week 19/11/24

We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. (We walked around with an empty bag picking up trash along the road)

Want a great holiday in Lanzarote Then Hotel LIVVO Volcan is the place for you Just came back 4-11th Oct The hotel is lovely, staff helpful, friendly nothing to much trouble Location right on the marina perfect for bars resturants ( all budgets) and supermarkets x3 water etc Breakfast, to much choice 1/2 dozen types of bread cold and hot offers a plenty ( 4 toasters) Egg Station Evening meals ( we took the 3 night offer, like to eat out some nights) Again great, hot grill master chef at work, soups hot cold, salads omg everything, Ice creamn 4 flavours spuds (have a mixed grill Roast, Mash, Spanish Spuds & Mash :) You will not be dissappointed Hotel room spotless, aircon very easy to use ( most hotels aircon never work properly) Fridge, Kettle, Plenty 2 point sockets everywhere. Yes we are going back in March(booked) and again later Brendan & Jayne Byrne

We spent 2 weeks in this beautiful hotel in October. We were slightly apprehensive upon seeing some reviews but very glad we followed though and booked this hotel. The staff are amazing and very helpful, the facilities are more than satisfactory. The food and drinks are the best I have had in an all inclusive hotel and I have been to several 5 star all inclusive. We will most definitely be returning to the Rubicon Palace in near future!
