Margaritaville Beach Resort Playa Flamingo

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here and are already planning to come back next year! The resort exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Everything was extremely clean, neat, and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious, conveniently located, and comfortable, which made traveling with kids so much easier. We traveled as three families with children ages 6, 7, and 8, and we always felt extremely safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. The kiddie pool area was fantastic, especially the shaded covered section where parents could comfortably sit and watch the kids even during the hottest parts of the day. The main pool was also beautiful and relaxing. Another pleasant surprise was the food. We genuinely enjoyed everything we ate. Yes, there is a buffet, which naturally repeats some dishes throughout the week, but they also have menu options that were excellent. The Eggs Benedict were wonderful, and the cheeseburgers were honestly incredible. The location is amazing - literally right across the small dirt road from the beach. The waves were stronger than we expected, so we watched the kids carefully, but they still had an amazing time. The service was outstanding. Scott, the regional director, was constantly checking on guests and making sure everyone was comfortable and having fun. Overall, we truly had an amazing experience and highly recommend this resort for families!

We really enjoyed our stay at margaritaville and would definitely go back. The rooms were clean and linens were great. There was water in the room everyday. The only thing is the water pressure wasn’t that great in the shower. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered we thoroughly enjoyed. Not a bad word to say. The water was a little rough at the beach but it was absolutely beautiful. All we had to do was ask security to bring lounge chairs to us and it was done. It was never crowded except for the sunset which was amazing. The only thing is nightlife. If that’s what you’re looking for then skip this place. They had minimal entertainment at the bar but it was usually over by 9-10 pm. If you’re looking for relaxation then I highly recommend this place.

The Costa Rican people were very friendly. The room was very clean. The pool was a good size and has a bar pool. It is definitely family friendly. Staff was great and helpful. Most people spoke some English. The beach was lovely, although when the tide came in in the afternoon the ocean got rough. We had a wonderful week.

They have activities planned all day for all ages. The rooms are cleaned daily. The beach is so close (right across the street), clean and beautiful. The staff is amazing. This was are 2nd trip to Margaritaville and we are returning in September. All inclusive is the way to go.

We enjoyed our stay! Traveled with our adult children and their spouses. Beautiful beach with added bonus of manta rays swimming in the waves (they are safe and fun to watch). The pool area was nice with great bartenders and we enjoyed the poolside lunch service. Low key music and relaxing atmosphere. Everyone was satisfied with the selection of food, nice buffet, omelet bar, only a couple of restaurants but offering a good selection. The Italian option is good, make sure to make a reservation. Really wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. One of our members was tossed by a wave and got a bloody nose. Staff transported her to nearest urgent care and picked her up. Urgent care doctor was excellent. We appreciated their care and concern. Overall, good value for the price.

Nice place. Smaller property so easy to get around and a super nice pool. Beach not private but only a few steps away. Beautiful sand and waves. Breakfast great. Staff really helpful. Lots of restaurants right next door or a short drive. Only downside is it takes a long time to go anywhere - whether Tamarindo or more nature tours.

The staff were attentive and friendly. The amenities were comprehensive. We had the all inclusive which was plentiful, varied and delicious.

Front desk staff and gift shop staff were excellent and very friendly. Bell hops were informative and very helpful. Wait staff was attentive and accommodating. It was a short but great stay!!

This small resort is nice, right at the beach, very clean, the staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and helpful, food is ok, not the best but not the worst. Nice and quiet area, also restaurants and shops around
