I went for a peaceful, relaxing, away-from-it-all break and got exactly that. Well-appointed and very clean room. Comfortable bed. Easy sleeping due to quiet location. Grounds are quite beautiful; huge lawn running down to the sea, an olive grove, rose garden, herb garden and fruit orchard. Lovely swimming pool, big enough to exercise properly or to float about and watch the sky if you prefer. Spacious, uncrowded dining room, with indoor and outdoor areas. Not a huge choice of foods but more than enough for any normal person. And the quality of that food is first class; delicious, both at breakfast and dinner. Usually a buffet dinner with about six mains but, when few guests are present, it's a set menu with choice of two or three mains. The beauty of a less-wide choice is that the kitchen staff can concentrate on quality; and they succeed! And oh, those home-made jams! Pleasant, small bar and large lounge area for pre- and post-dinner drinks and socialising. ALL hotel staff very pleasant, welcoming and helpful - they seemed genuinely pleased to help. As a solo traveller, I often get overlooked in restaurants in favour of couples, but not here; lovely waiting staff. Easy 20-min stroll into Polis for shops and cafes, plus bus stop for frequent bus to Paphos. 45-mins along coastal walk to more lively Latsi for harbourside and boat trips. Other guests generally middle-aged north European couples and solos seeking a quiet break from a busy world. Thinking about going back again next year.
