Tranquil Stay - Palolem Beach

Nice place nearby the beach. But it’s noisy at night. At least bed sheets are clean, bathroom clean enough.

I stayed at Tropical Bay from 24th to 27th December, and my experience was absolutely wonderful. From the warm, welcoming vibe to the overall comfort, almost everything about the place exceeded my expectations. I stayed in the dorms, which were surprisingly comfortable, well-maintained, and excellent value for money—perfect for budget travelers. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, making it easy to unwind and enjoy Palolem to the fullest. The only small drawback was the limited availability of charging sockets; ideally, there should be one socket per bed for convenience. Aside from that minor issue, everything else was spot on. Tropical Bay turned out to be the best budget stay I experienced in Palolem, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and pleasant place to stay. The place is conveniently located very close to the beach and also near the main road, making it easy to get around while still enjoying a peaceful stay. The staff does an excellent job of keeping the property spotlessly clean every day. Despite the central location, there is no outside noise, which makes it perfect for relaxing. The service is quick, efficient, and very prompt, and the staff is always helpful and attentive.

On arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our private courtyard and cottage which last in the middle of a lane way. We went in at around 6pm however despite the previous occupants leaving at 3am nothing had been done. The pictures we were sent were nothing like what we stayed in. The white linen didn’t exist, tv was not there, cooking appliance and basic kitchen stuff not there and we had to fight to get everything. The manager/ owner was apologetic however didn’t think pictures were important. The air con kept switching off and the fellow who looked at it said the voltage was a problem. I was trying to work from there but couldn’t as it was too hot. So went to whatever cafe had wifi. We didn’t let them clean the place as there was no safe in the room and so we kept them out. It was very troublesome trying to get things and finally in the last 4 days an engineer changed a compressor in the air con unit and it worked, well for some time. The problem I had with this place was the fact that it did not reflect the pictures shown and so we didn’t get things that should have been standard such as towels on arrival and bed sheet that fit the bed. Although the mattress was comfy lack of pillow case protectors left pillows mouldy and the kitchen cupboard were unoperational so you didn’t use them. We were here a month so in all it was ok but lots of downsides. Walking down the law through a so called migrant camp was not troublesome but you need to know these things.

Had a great stay here. So much so I extended my trip due to the great friendly service and value for money . Have just seen the other reviews and work has clearly been done since then . Yes there is a small alley walk to the beach that does have a little rubbish but it's all over India so it's normal

It was dirty, no staff, manager away don't have a phone with signals, it is a scam, your marketing officer didn't even visited the place before finalizing, whole property is in delapidated condition not have renovated for centuries, leakage in rooms, washrooms. Not fit for stay for ******* tourist, who boast of for good tourist and their care
