La Villa

My friends and I had a lovely stay at La Villa. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and overall this a beautiful small hotel decorated with much charm. Mrs Dhivya and Mr Viknesh took really good care of my dietary restrictions asI am gluten intolerant. They made sure I could eat without concerns. The food was really good too. Thank you for making our stay so memorable :)

A converted old French mansion, it boasts a great pool area although there is no shade. Staff were great and breakfast and dinner were good. Not being able to leave the ac on was a disadvantage to the room but it did cool relatively quickly. Being close to the street was noisy until the traffic settled down. Good positioning In the French Quarter.

I am here to share my 7couse non-veg French meal tasting experience at La-Villa. You need to book atleast 1 day prior and also pay some token money. But it's worth it. They will ask your food preferences and allergy information and curate your menu. It costed 2100+tax. It had 7 items - Appetizer, Amuses Bouches, Starter, Main couse 1, Main course 2, Pre Dessert and Desert. All the items were light, not very extreme in sweet or very heavy creamy. Items had a tangy taste element, and will make you happy. Individual quantity may look less, but at the end of the 7-course you will be filled. The cutlery was silver, and the courses are curated by Michelin star chef Michel Christman.

We stayed for six nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We booked Room 4 and it was perfect given the very hot weather. The decor and the furnishing of the room made things feel cool. It was perfectly maintained during our stay and we particularly appreciated the complimentary minibar. Breakfast is served in the courtyard and is à la carte. The selection is more than satisfactory and everything was delicious. We were very happy to get acquainted with the staff and must make special mention of Dhivya, Sonali and the young gentleman whose name I neglected to get. Great location, lovely setting, wonderful staff and top notch service. Highly recommended.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to all of the staff at La Villa for making our 4 days there truly special. They couldn’t do enough for you and really made you feel very well looked after! The hotel building itself is beautiful, with really lovely rooms and very comfortable beds, with the complimentary mini bar being an added bonus. The rooftop pool was great and provided the perfect place to cool down at the end of an afternoon. The breakfasts were delicious with great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, and the croissants, particularly the almond, were to die for! Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, you should really make sure you come for dinner! The chef is fantastic and clearly knows what he’s doing. We had the 7 course tasting menu which is without doubt the best value tasting menu you'll find anywhere! Every dish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, with great variety across the courses. If you’re coming to Pondicherry, we would certainly recommend you stay at La Villa! Lovely, charming, and extremely comfortable hotel - a peaceful oasis. Such great taste and attention to detail. The room was divine. The staff is amazing, attentive, professional and so kind. Dhivya is took great care of us on our stay, looking after our every need, and so sweet. We'll be back soon!

Our week staying at La Villa was outstanding and we can highly recommend it as a perfect base in Pondicherry. The beautiful, old building was in a great location, with a superb garden in which to dine, and huge, comfortable rooms as well as a lovely pool area that was very relaxing . The staff were all wonderful, especially efficient Anil on reception and delightful Naphisha and Vishnya serving us at breakfast, ***** with Kit making very helpful suggestions around what to do in Pondicherry. We would love to return to this fascinating city and would definitely stay here again.

Only regret, we stayed here for just one night. A superb hotel, from excellent communication before arrival, to arranging transfers, to our stay, and departure back to Chennai. Hotel staff amazing, friendly, helpful, so polite. Hotel breakfast wonderful, in beautiful setting. Room superb, all you could want. Pool nice for chill time. Will be returning and recommend.

Tranquil and elegant small hotel with lovely, helpful and professional staff and an appealing restaurant. Thoughtful rejuvenation of a former grand home, near the beach, the main sights and the shops. Delightful place and I would have gladly spent more than 3 day. Staff Bapon, Anil, Hali, Divya and Nafi were all wonderful. Highly recommend.
