I am generally satisfied with the hotel, it was the second time I stayed there. I put only 3* to clean, however, because the covers and the tail were rather doubtful, not sure they were well washed by previous customers as we supposed to do. 3* for staff, I explain to me: very friendly and professional, but I had the unpleasant impression of going for a lie when I wanted to pay in holiday cheques at the arrival. which was accepted only by booking directly at the Residence, which I would like to believe, except that I had had on the phone before booking, another person from the host who had told me that this payment mode would be accepted from a parter such as booking or other (the price being higher live at the Residence); in this case it was sufficient to select a ”modifyable” tariff so that the amount of the CB is just blocked while the payment is made at the arrival to the Residence. So, although it was not a blocking pp for my stay, I found the lady's distribution a little hurt. Reliable information should be provided, because the possibility of setting up vacancy checks can be a criterion for the choice of the establishment. Thank you for your understanding

The hotel is lovely. Beds were comfortable and staff friendly.breakfast was good The only problem we had was with the parking. We asked staff where we could park our motorbike and they told us to leave it up the road in the village square. They did not tell us that there was a market the next day and we should move it by 7am. The receptionist subsequently told us that they were phoned by the stall holder at 7am. But did not want to wake us up!!! This resulted in our bike being forcibly moved and the wheel was damaged. We had to get the bike repaired.at our expense Luckily the local bike shop Were very helpful and we were able to go on our way. The hotel staff were apologetic, but then told us we could have parked in the hotel garage !!! So overall a nice place to stay. But communication could have been better and we ended up out of pocket. So If you go watch out for the parking !

Well run and conveniently located. We were in easy walking distance to the major sights of Saintes, as well as to some excellent restaurants— L’Insolite and La Table des dix Vins— and a fantastic breakfast bakery, La Boulangerie du Palais. Our room’s air conditioning was a blessing at the end of a hot day of sightseeing.
