VIP Executive Azores Hotel

It was my first time at this hotel, I went with my 4-year-old son and it was excellent, very pleasant, with an excellent breakfast with a lot of variety. My only complaint was that I found the scrambled eggs strange, at least not like I'm used to eating them that way; maybe they're made with liquid egg or egg white, I'm not sure, but apart from that everything was excellent. The room was perfect for him to sleep in, and I was able to safely position him so he wouldn't fall out of bed 😆. It was also excellent that they had a bathtub, because in many other places I've been to with him, it's almost always just a shower...

Normal hotel unit within its category. I didn't like the fact that I was given a Twin room when the reservation was made for a double room with a double bed. The Hotel noted that this error was due to the information received through the platform through which I made the reservation. However, although they did not change my room citing "unavailability", they found a way to join the two beds and make them into a "King Size" bed. We did not have any meals at the hotel, not only because we did not like some discriminatory attitudes, but above all, we preferred to choose to have meals in local restaurants, in order to contact and taste the local/regional gastronomy. I also didn't like the discrimination and the different treatment that the hotel clearly gives between customers who book through the hotel itself and those who book through online platforms. Assuming that such discriminatory attitude may perhaps be related to the commission that the hotel will have to make to the platform, the fact is that they made me feel a clear difference in treatment and preference, giving clear priority to those who make reservations through the hotel itself. So much so that, even when checking in, priority was given to those who arrived at the reception desk after me and without having any prior reservation were served first, with reception indicating that I would be served immediately by another employee since, as I already had a reservation, the treatment would be faster, whereas new arrivals would have to be previously informed of all the conditions and services of the hotel and this process would take longer. Anyway... I decided to ignore this fact, not only because five or ten more minutes wouldn't have made any difference to me at the moment, but also and above all, because because of this and other attitudes, I have no intention of returning to this hotel in the future since, during our 11-day stay in São Miguel and having stayed in two other hotels besides this one, the experience at this hotel was by far the worst of all.

We would like to highlight the friendliness and high level of professionalism of the hotel staff. Cleanliness and facilities in very good condition.
