Sunny Poreč by Valamar, ex Crystal

Good day, our impressions regarding our staying are absolutely terrible. We are regular customers of Valamar, and we were here more than 15 times. We are shocked about the quality of service, nothing has been provided us in our room. Got nothing: teapot was absent, glasses were absent, slippers and bath robes were also absent, are you serious thinking that it is four star level hotel??? We are so disappointed. Even shampoo and body gel was not granted, only one big bottle which is called three in one( shampoo, gel, conditioner) Is it normal?? We are coming in the most boiling and stifling time during the summer season and neither one nor two bottles has not been placed in our room. Is it also right, especially considering the fact that I came with an elderly woman?? Last time here was in 2021 and everything was much more better and it freaks out the imagination. We wouldn’t recommend your hotel to other partners&friends…

The rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, offering stunning views of the lush pine forest and sparkling Adriatic Sea. The food? Simply outstanding—fresh, diverse, and delicious at every meal. The pool area was pristine, with plenty of loungers and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation. And the location couldn’t be better: a short stroll to the beach and close to charming old town Poreč. This hotel blends comfort, style, and genuine hospitality into a perfect getaway. Can’t wait to return!

Staff, food, cleanliness and location, TOP. We have been to Valamar hotels several times in different places in Croatia and we are always very satisfied. Each hotel has at least 2 or more restaurants or bars. Lots of choice for everyone. We choose Hotels with Mara Club because of our 6 year old boy. I highly recommend it.

It was a beautiful experience, friendly and very helpful staff, clean rooms and everything was superlative. The hotel is in good location, close to the see. Very good for the children with a lot of activities. The food was many choices and tasty.

We stayed at Sunny Poreč by Valamar in early May and had a fantastic experience! The hotel exceeded all our expectations – from the friendly and helpful staff to the clean rooms and great food options. It’s a perfect place for a family holiday, with plenty of activities and relaxing areas. The location is beautiful, just steps from the sea and surrounded by nature. We truly felt welcome and cared for throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

We travelled with TUI, with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 year old granddaughter. We had a great time and spent a lot of time around the pool, which our granddaughter loved, as it is particularly suited to little ones. The staff were all very friendly and the food was okay, although we also took advantage of some of the nice restaurants in Porec, which was around a 20 mins walk away. There are regular tourist trains to Porec stopping near the hotel, but they were usually full. The week we stayed it was very warm and humid. Now in our mid-60s, it certainly took a while to adjust to the heat, but this should be expected in August! Our only real issue was the size of the 'superior twin room' and the amount of time it took to gain access to it. Our flight left Birmingham at 6.15am and we arrived at the hotel at around 10.30am after a two hour flight and a 45 minute taxi transfer. Our rooms were not ready and we finally unpacked at around 12.30pm. Not great when we had a very sleep deprived 2 year old with us. My wife and I were eventually allocated room 530, on the 5th floor, with a view overlooking the pool. On TUI's website, it is described as 'spacious'. Not so. The room is far too small to accommodate two standard single beds pushed together. A small double would probably be about right, at a push. As you can see from the photos, there is very little room between the end of the beds and the furniture/fridge. We were unable to fully open the fridge door. We bashed our knees against the frames of the end of the beds several times, which was quite painful. The bathroom is also very small and I didn't feel entirely safe climbing in and out of the bath for a shower. The balcony was also tiny. Not a big deal for some, as most of the time was spent away from the room, in the airconditioned lobby area and bar, or just 'out and about'. We even managed to squeeze in a day trip via catamaran to Venice, but more about that elsewhere. Our son and his family had a family room, 118, on the ground floor, and this was very spacious, althought they also mentioned the small bathroom. Once we got over the disappointment with our 5th floor room, the holiday was most enjoyable and we had a great time, overall. The hotel is spotless, the staff are great, the pool is fab and the location ideal.
