La Mer Guesthouse

Clean and comfortable accommodation set in a pleasant garden. Friendly, helpful staff and good breakfast. An uber to the Boardwalk Mall takes about 10 minutes and does not cost much. Well placed for the airport.

I stayed at La Mer Guest House twice in September - for 2 nights each time. The first night we arrived late, and Jason was waiting for us with a big smile and helpful attitude. The room was great, beds and pillows were very comfortable! We had breakfast and dinner there and both were very good! The staff always had a smile and were very friendly and helpful. The second time I was there, Nicole was on duty and she was so welcoming! Love her huge smile :). I stayed in a different room, but the bed and pillow were as good as the previous visit. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow which is very unusual - even at home. Although the guesthouse is in the flight path to the airport, I only heard planes go over twice a day. Small sacrifice for such a nice place with awesome staff, so close to the airport! I would definitely stay there again if I was in Port Elizabeth and would not hesitate to refer my friends.

Welcoming and friendly staff and owners. Breakfast/dining room/Reception is a pleasant, bright room with ocean glimpses. Outdoor cooking and gathering area, dart board. Small pool for dipping. Not licensed for alcohol. I appreciated the extra effort made to cater for my vegan diet. Comfortable bed & pillows. Regrettably, towels were changed in spite of the "hang up to re-use" water-conservation signage.

We enjoyed a two night stay at La Mer Guest House as part of our Exodus trip to the Garden Route and Cape Town. La Mer provides comfortable accommodation - the rooms are clean and spacious, the shower was good and the bed comfortable. There was a lovely outside area and good Wifi. All the staff at La Mer were very friendly and helpful and they provide a lovely breakfast on both mornings - served is comfortable dining room. La Mer is well situated close to the airport and for visiting local attractions. Thank you
