A perfect location in Portland This Mt. Tabor house is delightful! The house is spacious and well appointed. The owner added many extra touches including fresh flowers, fresh coffee beans and a wonderful variety of snack items for our use. The view from the wrap around deck is wonderful. We were graced with delightful spring weather and we highly recommend this house for your stay in Portland.

A delight The property was just like the listing. The views are amazing! The little touches of good coffee (and cream) and fresh cut flowers were lovely. Beautiful neighborhood.

Perfect in Every Way The Flying Whale is an outstanding place to stay in Portland. Everything from the cleanliness, to the view, to the comfy beds made it a wonderful visit. Jill, the host, was friendly, helpful and included many special touches such as a snack basket, fresh flowers and everything needed for your morning coffee. We will definitely stay here again.

Spectacular View My husband and I spent the last 2 nights of our trip to Oregon at the Flying Whale. Jill is a great host and thought of everything we could need. There were beautiful fresh flowers in every room. The kitchen was stocked with fresh coffee beans and a nice assortment of tea. There was a container of half n’ half waiting in the fridge. The beds were super comfortable. We didn't do any laundry but the laundry room was stocked with several eco-friendly detergents. There was a nice lavender moisturizer cream in the bathroom, along with hand soap, shampoo and conditioner. Every morning I walked out to the open living/dining area to view the best sunrise. Parking is a breeze as Jill allows you to park in the driveway right next to the front door. She was also very accommodating when I had to change our vacation plans at the last minute due a death in the family. Our stay at the Flying Whale was a great way to wrap up our Oregon vacation.
