Ocapora Hotel All Inclusive

I stayed Feb 18 - Feb 23. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, and it’s beautifully located on the beach. For a top of the line hotel, they need to improve a few thing. The mattresses are terrible. Very springy and bouncy, the worst mattress you can possibly imagine. The restaurant had no fans or a/c. The bathrooms had no exhaust fan. The restaurant is buffet style, and the floors were very slippery. They also need to come up with a better plan for their way of displaying the buffet because they had a lot of flies on the open displayed food. I avoided a lot of the food I wanted to try out of fear because flies were all over them. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

I must say, the hotel is nice the people are great. The only issue I would say that this resort needs to improve on is, 1. the Flies on the food and 2 the resturante needs to be a Airconditioned facility. It was gross going to eat at the resturante and flies where all over the food and fruits that were laid out buffet style. The heat is also so terrible to try and enjoy a meal when humidity is 90% and no AC. I said in room 217, the AC in the rooms are terrible work very poorly. I was told that the pools were open 24hrs, but when we arrived we was advised closes at 6pm. The place is well located and has a lot of amentities, they just need to fix these issues, especially if they want to see the American Tourist at this location. I advised them that no Americans will come and eat with food out like that and flies on the food. I also advised they need to install Air conditioning. over all I give it 3 out of 5 I must also advise they dont have any staff members that speaks English.

Had the most amazing 10 nights there. Place is nice and clean beautiful beach and amazing staff. The food is the best I ever had in a hotel. Will definitely go back there soon. We stayed in one of the chalet with sea view truly recommend it. Cannot fault this place

Hotel is very nice and perfect for family with kids. Food and attention very good. I was just disappointed by the rooms, these are very very small and not comfortable, only beds could fit, we could barely walk in there. Bathroom old and not well maintained. Hotel would be perfect if rooms were better maintained and bigger.

The swimming pool was not clean so much

A great value all inclusive medium-sized resort style hotel with good facilities. There is a lot to like about this hotel, with value for money topping the list. The hotel grounds are beautifully manicured and maintained to a high standard, and on the whole staff are very friendly, welcoming and polite. The food is surprisingly good for an all inclusive resort, with a good selection of choices available at every meal time and dishes to suit every palette. Food was always fresh and well prepared. I was surprised to find that branded spirits/drinks were available as standard, and a bar was available 24 hours a day as part of the day rate! This is a departure from other all inclusive resorts I've visited, who usually charge for drinks after a certain time. The resort felt very safe and security is maintained at beach access points. The beach to the front of the hotel is very clean and well maintained and the natural pools are 5 min walk along the beach away and are both beautiful and teeming with brightly coloured fish. Our first experience of the beach was marred slightly by an unhelpful beach attendant at the resort, who really couldn't be bothered, but all other staff were very friendly and more than made up for this poor first encounter. English isn't widely spoken at the resort, which may likely cause difficulty for international guests, but as a Brit who happens to speak Portuguese we didn't experience any problems with communication during our stay. The hotel has a couple of quirks which I found unusual: 1.) There is no bin in the room, although there is a stocked minibar. The only bin is the sanitary bin next to the toilet which felt a little unpleasant to use for litter. No biggy, but odd. 2.) There's no drying rack to hang wet swimwear on the terrace. Again, not a big deal but unusual. 3.) no hair dryer in the room, but this can be requested at reception. Any issues we had (our safe was locked on arrival) were resolved very quickly and efficiently and staff were super helpful. I'd previously read some reviews that guest rooms were small, but our standard apartment was a good size with two comfortable double beds and was tastefully decorated. The bathroom was a little tired but was perfectly adequate with a great shower. The resort is very family focused offering lots of activities for children and plenty of space for play. The lack of adults-only area didn't bother us in the slightest as there is a great family vibe T the botel, but this may be an issue for guests more adverse to little people running around. The animation team do a great job and work very hard to entertain guests, but international guests should keep in mind this is Brazil and Portuguese will be the sole language used. I would certainly recommend the Ocaporã for those seeking good value for money in a beautiful part of the Brazilian North East and I would certainly stay again.

Everything was good. Nice beach, good location. I was waiting to have a great food because it’s a resort all inclusive and The food is not qualified for a Resort.

Very nice staff and the food was usually good and plentiful. The grounds were very clean. Beach was very clean and warm water with great waves. Only two suggestions: It would be nice to have one pool a little deeper. All of them are only 3 feet so you can’t really swim. the music and staff using the microphone for games and dance around the pools could be very loud. Maybe if it was moved closer to the kids area to make it more relaxing in the other pool area.
