The service in the reception is correct. The location with the prime sea view is beyond comparison. The breakfast is solid. There was construction work ongoing, so improvements are coming, however it is beyond clear that the room we stayed at was very neglected and needs some major renovation (everything is very used and scratched or chipped, the aircon is not functional, etc which cumulatively is a lot). Still correct for its price, and recommended overall.

Our room had wonderful natural pool and sea views. We even caught the sunset on the first day! Front desk reception was receptive and very helpful, they gave us a welcome drink of Madeira wine + some citrus juice. Which was a great refresher after a long drive. Breakfast was American style with a decent spread. Only downside was the ongoing construction outside of the hotel. Otherwise would recommend +++

The location on the ocean is breathtaking and that is my main take away. Everything else was perfectly fine. My only disappointment was the on site pools were closed during our stay. Was told they were being cleaned but I never saw any such activity.

My stay at the hotel was marvellous

I wish to be able to leave a positive review I was eager to finally visit Madeira but sadly I’ve tested positive to Covid the day before of leaving, the hotel refused to reimburse me even though I’ve given them all the info about my situation

The hotel is located on the northwest tip of the island. The famous volcanic rock pool is right on site, and guests can get free entry with a card at the front desk. This is the closest hotel we've ever stayed to the sea, and the ocean-view rooms face it directly. It was cloudy and rainy that day, and the sea was a stunning gray-blue. The island was blessed with uninterrupted blue skies and azure seas for six days, making the scenery truly unique. The temperature was only 20 degrees Celsius, so we didn't go in the sea, but the foreigners did. The breakfast was hearty, and the restaurant had a breathtaking view. Unfortunately, we ran out of food after a few days, so I highly recommend trying the restaurant on the second floor.

A great choice for staying by the sea when visiting Madeira, right in front of the natural swimming pool, waking up in the morning to see the sea and sky. The hotel is very welcoming and gave a bottle of welcome sparkling wine. PS: It is recommended to drive here, and if the hiking itinerary is later, this hotel will give you a hiking ticket

High humidity - strong smell of dampness in the bathroom. Repairs are needed.

The stay was very nice and the view of the sea was beautiful. Friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely come back.

All the rooms in the hotel have an ocean view - the view is amazing! The view can forgive the slightly tired furniture in the room. Delicious varied breakfast, there is white wine and champagne, freshly squeezed orange juice, kiwi smoothie.

Everything was perfect. The welcome, the sparkling wine in the room, cleanliness, breakfast.
