Skeabost View Pods Skye

This was our first time in a Pod and we loved it. The Pod itself was extremely clean and well equipped with welcome extras such as milk,butter and bread and other breakfast items. The views from the Pod were beautiful and the location was quiet. Anne was a fantastic host and a good source of local information. We would highly recommend these Pods.

Beautiful view! We had a great stay here. The pods are incredibly clean, well appointed, and the shower is great! While bijou (which is part of the charm) - you have everything you need. The pods are cleverly laid out so you have space to live about and relax. The owners were lovely and super helpful, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience on Skye. The location is a ten minute car ride into the main town and a good launch pad for exploring Skye.

Let's be honest; Skye's weather is changeable. Fine views across the glen are possible, but when the midges assemble or the rain falls, you want accommodation which offers some protection. These small but perfectly formed 'pods' do just that, with some style. It's amazing just how much has been squeezed into such a compact space without sacrificing comfort. True, there's no hob, but there is space for a camping grill on the gravel if you prefer. The lack of a mirror over the sink can make shaving or contact lens procedures a bit tricky, too. But the reward for those minor inconveniences is a peaceful sojourn at the border between farmland and semi-wilderness, with plenty of flora and fauna on hand; we were buzzed by a sea eagle as we departed. Perhaps a bit limiting for a long stay, but for a couple of nights it's a real treat. There isn't a mithering coach party for miles.

Having not stayed in a Glamping Pod before this holiday we did not know what to expect. We were so amazed how really good it was, we had all the facilities you need & plenty of room to move inside. The view from the pod was just countryside & Sheep & you could hear a pin drop perfection in our eyes. We put on the heating as soon as we arrived & it was warm in a couple of minutes,& we were also given complementary items for our first breakfast. Anne came & introduced herself the following day she also gave us a couple of throwaway BBQs which we used. Anne told us us because of where we are it can be very windy but the Pods are bolted down sure enough our last night was very windy but it was just so cosy & warm.We both love Skye so when we return it has to be here again.
