Marmalade

The hotel's exterior wasn't particularly impressive, initially a bit disappointing. However, the interior was quite exquisite. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of distant snow-capped mountains and the sunset. I originally booked the room because of the hotel's sauna and the horseback riding service listed on Ctrip, but unfortunately, the sauna was unavailable, and there was no horseback riding. The hotel staff were shocked when I mentioned this, stating they had never offered such a service and didn't know how Ctrip collected that information. Many reviews praised the breakfast highly. Our experience was quite poor; the breakfast was among the worst. The bacon was very oily, and the full breakfast didn't even include haggis. My girlfriend's royal eggs were also unappetizing. Perhaps it was because they provided a small basket, similar to afternoon tea, before the main course. In short, I wouldn't recommend it if you're visiting the UK. The price we paid basically covered the room and the floor-to-ceiling windows… The beer at the hotel bar was equally disappointing… The room: 10/10; everything else: 6/10.

This hotel was the best we stayed at on this trip. It was very clean, had beautiful views from the windows, and large floor-to-ceiling windows. There was also a gym and a sauna.

When I arrived at the hotel, it wasn't check-in time yet. I parked the car and went to have lunch. When I came back, I checked in. The young lady at the front desk was very welcoming and attentive. Because there was no elevator, they changed my room to a double room on the first floor. All my needs were quickly met.

The breakfast was too slow. Although it was delicious, I had to wait for nearly half an hour. I only had breakfast once in two days, and I ate it in a hurry. I was not very satisfied that I could not enjoy it.

It's a convenient six- or seven-minute walk from Portree town. The hotel looks quite new, as if it hasn't been open very long. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on Sunday, so we didn't get to eat anything.
