Cul-Erg House & Kitchen, a 4* B&B offering unique & stylish accommodation in Portstewart, also provides a wonderful breakfast, with snacks, a selection of scones & patisserie, & lunches available until 4pm. We always love calling into Cul-Erg when we’re on the North Coast: an oasis of calm away from the holiday hustle & bustle. All produce is locally sourced, with a selection of hot dishes made to order, and there’s a pretty courtyard, fragrant with herbs & the salt air from the Atlantic making it the perfect location for a post breakfast coffee. All dietary requirements are well catered for; we had a delicious vegetarian breakfast with herby homemade meat-free sausages, fluffy omelettes with savoury fillings, a mini fry with local bacon and sausages, and a breakfast special of smashed avocado & tomato salsa on sundried tomato & feta bread with poached eggs. Cul-Erg House prides itself in its Irish hospitality and customer service which are second to none, serving up delicious homemade food demonstrating simplicity & quality.

My sister and I had a lovely 2 night stay in Cul Erg B&B. Spacious room with cosy beds. Tea making facilities in the room with fresh bottled water. Breakfast was delicious, it was freshly made by our host Marie and JJ. There was a great variety. JJ was very helpful and provided us with great advice about places to visit and explore. Portstewart is a quaint little town with lots of lovely shops and cafes. Lovely walks on the strand and the convent walk is really lovely. We enjoyed out stayed immensely.

This is an awesome town and B&B. We were 3 couples and our host "JJ" was amazing! The location is within walking distance to Portstewart which is a very picturesque town and worth visiting. Our B&B was very comfortable, clean, quiet and breakfasts were amazing. JJ gave us lots of suggestions on where to visit and restaurants to dine. Would highly recommend staying here!

This is a homely little place situated just before you get into the Main Street of Portstewart. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere peaceful. The food and service were fantastic. We both had the eggs with wheaten bread and were able to choose what way we wanted our eggs. I had poached and my wife had scrambled. I added salmon to mine. The wheaten bread was very fresh so it was likely baked in the cafe itself. The scone was also fresh and served with fresh jam and cream. The cappuccinos were perfect. Definitely don’t pass this place by if your in the area. We’ll definitely be back.

JJ and Marie are amazing hosts! Our room was lovely, well appointed, and had everything that we needed. I felt at home immediately. JJ gave us great recommendations for things to do. Best of all was breakfast! I can’t describe how good it was and they deserve Michelin stars! Stay here, and you will not be disappointed.

I've stayed at Cul Erg B&B four times over the years. I have family in N. Ireland and the Antrim coast is one of my favorite places to visit when I come to Ireland. JJ and Marie are wonderful hosts. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The B&B location is excellent for local golf courses, beaches and walks to Portstewart shops, restaurants and pubs. JJ makes sure to give visitors all the lastest information to make visits to local attractions easy and memorable. There is a lovely restaurant and coffee shop on the premises. The dining area is cozy, cheery and exceptionally clean. I highly recommend booking breakfast at Cul Erg when booking a room. Breakfast is very good with many choices on the menu but I like the traditional Irish breakfast the best. There are so many sites to visit on the Antrim coast and Portstewart is an ideal location to stay while exploring the beauty and wonders of N. Ireland. I've stayed at other B&B's in Portstewart in the past but once I discovered Cul Erg House I book here every time I come to Ireland. You can't go wrong with Cul Erg House for an authentic Irish experience and hospitality.

Just a two night stay in a single room to be within walking distance of friends. It fitted the bill perfectly. My bed was super comfy, and the room and en-suite were spotless with facilities often only found in top, expensive hotels, such as tea/coffee making, face flannel, courtesy toiletries, two towels, wifi, etc. The owner, JJ, was very polite, friendly and welcoming. I didn't eat there as I went to my friends.

We stayed in Cul Erg House for the first time . We were absolutely delighted with everything about our stay , from the superb location , tidiness and cleanliness of our room to the first class breakfast, which had a fantastic choice of locally sourced food from start to finish. We met JJ the owner and he gave us a friendly and efficient welcome . We will definitely be back to stay and would highly recommend Cul Erg House.

I would highly recommend Cul-Erg. The rooms are lovely, clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable and there was a good strong shower. Initially we hadn’t intended to have breakfast but after one of Marie’s breakfasts we did everyday. JJ is an excellent host. This was our first visit to the area and he had lots of good ideas of where to go. We followed all his suggestions, they were all good. We certainly hope to return.
