Not worth it, rude reception staff,ignored us, told us we were lying about room we booked. Gave us a room key then snatched it away because in her words we paid for cheap rooms. . After having to wait to prove we paid for the room and processco even after we showed the receipt the girl was still rude? Guy in the lobby bar was lovely and really made our stay. He was informative about the area and recommended places to see. Would i go back? No. Spoilt surprise wedding anniversary after she even told him the price!!! Nightmare!!

We recently stayed with family for a birthday celebration. The rooms were exceptional and could not find fault. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the menu was wide ranging and food was excellent. I would like to highlight Michelle on reception who is an absolute star! Michelle thank you for your kindness and we will definitely be back to hopefully chat with you again. Definitely well worth a visit!!!

My wife and I stayed here on one of the deals for a nights stay and evening meal and breakfast. After a small mishap with our suitcase and me having to drive 2 1/2 hours, I could finally relax. We were staying in the Marilyn Monroe room, and what a great room it was with a large double bed and huge bath. We then went for our 3 course evening meal, and wow the food was delicious and plenty of it too( I highly recommend the champ) and then we sat and had some drinks in the well stocked bar. The breakfast was just as delicious as the evening meal and the staff were so helpful and friendly (especially Lindsay!!). A wonderful stay and we will definitely be back and have the suitcase with us from the start the next time!!!!

What an amazing hotel. The decor is fantastic. Very welcoming,friendly and attentive staff,and food to die for. Probably one of the very best hotel meals i have ever eaten, And the bar staff make the best whisky sours ever. Very highly recommend to others and we will definitely return. Thanks all for a very memorable evening.

Stayed in this gorgeous boutique hotel Easter Monday, place was buzzing, great atmosphere friendly staff. Hotel is completely faultless immaculately clean! Rooms are like suites, so much space. Michelle on reception so friendly and helpful, hotel bar and restaurant extremely busy Michelle helping out there too. Food was incredible, outstanding in fact, presentation and flavours are just at a next level. I have to write this as I just can't tunderstand why people complain so much, especially on bank holidays, before you go anywhere, especially the North Coast at Easter, be prepared for queues, allow extra time for waiting on food etc, maybe businesses short staffed, I just find it great to see places busy and buzzing, it creates a great atmosphere. This hotel is AMAZING, and the staff make it, especially Michelle. Cannot wait to return very soon.

Spent 2 nights here with my best friend who traveled over from Scotland to spend my 70th birthday with me. On walking in, first face I was greeted with was Michelle, I’ll get to her in a minute. Well that just set the tone for our 2 day trip. We had reservations about staying here, as it is 4 star, and we thought the staff wouldn’t give us the time of day. WOW …. Was I surprised!!! In all the places we have ever been, I can honestly say, I have never experienced a place like it. I suffer from MS, which Michelle spotted straight away, but didn’t mention it until I did. she let me speak, at my own pace, without trying to finish my sentence, which is very rare. And nothing short of nearly carrying me to the lift,, took us straight to the most beautiful room I have ever seen. Showed us how to work the coffee machine, the air con, and to our delight we had a jacuzzi bath. Then she went to the trouble of going back downstairs to carry up our luggage., A lovely heartfelt birthday message was left on my bed on arrival, , and a candle was put into my black pudding at breakfast and out Michelle came singing happy birthday, she’s tone deaf , sorry Michelle lol. but that made it all the more funny and enjoyable. That lady has a halo above her head, and she’s so humble she has no idea the difference she made to my life for them 2 days. Michelle was there for the whole two days ,from morning to night. When we asked are you not tired, she laughed it off and said she would rather follow through till the end. We booked again for August before we left, and have told everyone we know about this hotel. Michelle this is for you, you are worth more than your job!! You made us feel like we were family, and for that I will always remember you. See you in august.

Avoid avoid avoid room 28 at all cost - heard every conversation from dining area below and door banged constantly! Mattress must have been flip more times than a pancake as awful dip (when identified with staff they denied but wouldn’t go check!). Reception staff in morning very rude!

My stay was for 2 nights as part of my 60th birthday celebrations. From start to finish, everyone made my stay feel extra special. In particular, Michelle went the extra mile with a few lovely little personal touches including Jamie & Jack serenading me in the restaurant on my first night whilst delivering my creme brulee desert, complete with birthday candle. The food was exceptional and the service second to none. The staff were all very attentive, not just to me. NY room was fab - I had a sneaky look in other unoccupied rooms & they are all decorated differently with their own very quirky but luxurious personality. But rooms are rooms, it's the very welcoming, friendly and attentive approach of all the staff I came into contact with that made this trip very memorable & outstanding. I think this has been the best place I've visited in my 10 years of solo breaks. I rarely write reviews as previous breaks have been nothing out of the ordinary. But this one was exceptional thanks to all the lovely staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending & I will definitely be back 🥰

What a fantastic hotel! Stayed overnight on a dinner, b&b deal. Room was super. The staff, from Michelle in reception, to the waiters in the restaurant, were very professional and exceptionally friendly and helpful. Any questions/queries were answered without problems. The food was exceptional. Would definitely recommend family and friends to have a stay here. Looking forward to a return visit!
