If I could give 10 stars I would. What a lovely experience in an historic home, appropriately furnished. Annabelle was an amazing host & the cooked breakfasts are something else. All fresh ingredients from the garden. Nothing was too much trouble and we're planning to come back again soon.

From the moment we arrived at the charming Racecourse Inn we felt at home with Annabelle, Richard, their smiling Smithfield, Pippin and sweet cat Delphine. The Inn oozes history and sits in a wild cottage garden where you can wander or enjoy freshly baked treats with a cup of tea. In a vaulted room breakfast (whatever you might want from fruit poached in rosewater to eggs sunnyside up) is beautifully served on a white tablecloth with fresh flowers and lovely china. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts in this fantastic bed and breakfast. With roses at the windows our room was comfortable and warm with everything we could possibly want. From now on, any time we travel north in Tasmania, we won’t want to stay anywhere else.

Lovely visit to a beautiful historic inn, with thoughtful, charming and accommodating hosts. The interiors are so full of delightful period features each time you look around there is another wee gem to see. The 2 bed rooms had everything we needed, and are set up with sitting areas for relaxing and drinking a quiet cup of tea. The garden provides a tranquil spot to explore or sit. The produce from the hens, vegetable and fruit areas were used to make our breakfast. Highly recommended. I hope to get back sometime.
