We had a fabulous time, it is very beautiful place. We enjoyed the comfort of the spacious, clean room and great selection of food. All the parts are super clean, and you can choose from several guided tours.

Just arrived back from a lovely 2 weeks at Cabrera. We all had a lovely time including grandparents and children. Special thanks to: Flávio, Salvo, Emmanuel, Davide, Eliziberta and all the other entertainment staff who were all fantastic with the kids. Vinnino, Mario, Sebastiano in the restaurant and bar delivering great service. And Roberto leading the way. A great thanks to you all.

Before I get into the review of the hotel I would like to point out that we have a complaint against our tour operator TUI but that has no bearing on Hotel de Cabrera. TUI sold this package to us as an all inclusive, the hotel is in fact Full board. TUI have in the past 2 weeks amended from all inclusive to full board. I feel that some of the reviews on here have been unfairly targeting Hotel de Cabrera because of this issue. We were greeted by the hotel staff at gone midnight following a 2 hour transfer from Catania airport. They had prepared us food and soft drinks which we thought was a very nice gesture. We had booked adjoining rooms but on arrival they were in fact 2 separate rooms next door to each other. Rooms were nice and clean with good air-con. Our bathroom was clean but definitely needed updating plus the shower was woefully underpowered. We did have an issue with ants in one of our bathrooms but this was dealt with promptly by hotel staff. Its worth mentioning that your room has one bottle of 500ml water on arrival and that is it for the duration of your stay. Whilst we were there it was forbidden to refill water bottles from the restaurant water dispensers because of Covid regulations. You either drunk water with your meal or purchased water from the shop situated in reception. You could also get glasses of water from the pool bar. The pool is very nice and spacious with a pool attendant/lifeguard on duty all day. You will have to wear a swimming hat in the pool at all times, its mandatory in Italy post Covid so no hat-no swim. They are available in the shop for €3 each. Be aware, they play Euro pop around the pool all day with vastly increased volume during activities such as Aquabike or Aquagym so if you after peace and tranquility the beach may be a better option. There are pool activities around the pool throughout the day and the friendly entertainment staff encourage you to get involved. Its worth doing as it adds to interacting with other guests plus there is the chance to win cocktails. There is a pool bar there too serving drinks and the pool toilets are the most modern cleanest we’ve seen. The beach is lovely with beautiful clear water that is so warm. Its also a very shallow water level extending for quite some way before it becomes deeper so perfect for kids. I really recommend getting involved in the stretching activity at 10am which involves stretching and limbering up for the day in the surf. A lifeguard is present throughout the day. Other activities occur on the beach through the day including Moulky, Boules and beach volleyball. There is a beach bar there but we didn’t use it and so cannot comment on it. The hotel staff are all great. It must be pointed out that they really do work hard and make the effort to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. It never ceased to amaze how Alex, Guilia, Laura and all the others always remembered your name and made you feel welcome and included. Hopefully their manageme

We are currently here at this hotel as part of a Tui package. Tui has reimbursed from all inclusive to full board but actually the hotel provides soft drinks all day and even substantial snacks at 1630 and a second late breakfast of pastries at 10 by the pool. This is a clean and relaxing hotel. The communal areas are always free of rubbish. I have seen no flies and the bathrooms are new and constantly kept pristine. The sea is amazing. Warm and shallow for a long distance and easy for the children to swim in. The sunloungers are free and there are plenty of them. The playground is beautifully kept aswell as the 7 hectares of gardens. You never feel crowded and the hotel staff is friendly and always wanting to help. The animation group is lively and warm and brilliant with the children. The food is delicious. Fresh, non greasy and Sicilian. The pizzas are some of the best I’ve tasted and the different flavours of ice cream is great. I have children from ages 4-14 and they are all having an amazing time. The pool is always half empty which again means you can actually swim peacefully. There is a lovely lady (Donatella) who runs tours to explore more of Sicily and she will help you get taxis if you want to explore by yourself. We have been on one tour so far and the guide was really informative and the pace just right. I would really recommend this hotel for families and anyone who wants to swim in an amazing sea and relax with children.

Booking with TUI? - Read on now - If not, scroll further for an accurate report of the hotel. TUI - We booked though TUI, apparently booking an all-inclusive package. However this hotel does not do this and TUI have misrepresented this package. If you're thinking booking with TUI, don't - but do book it privately as it's a fabulous resort and you will not be disappoin**ent if you know what you're paying for. Conte di Cabrera has a wonderful team of staff and is an amazing location. The beach is wonderful, beautifully sandy and a very shallow, so really safe for younger children and non-swimmers. The pool temperature is lovely, but is a little deep. The 'animation team' are the best we've ever experienced (and I have two teenaged boys). They work incredible hard and are very exchanging for all ages groups, with a huge variety of activities in the pool, on the beach, and elsewhere within the complex. The food is fine. As someone that cooks almost every day for my family I will always enjoy not having to cook. There is always something fresh on the grill, and the pizzas are fresh, made in front of you. The salad is always made fresh too - as an early riser, I got to witness the chefs who cook the eggs, bacon and pancakes, chopping the salad for the the days lunches and dinner. For anyone thinking about the any kind of drinks package. All drink (teas, coffees, 'juice' etc) for breakfast are part of it. Local beer and soft drinks are available from the pool bar from 10.30am - 12.30pm. Then you get local wine, beer, and soft drinks during lunch. The pool bar reopens around 15.30, until 18.00 (ish), although the sometimes run out of beer. In the evening, the piano bar sells drinks from the 18.30, but again, local beer and wine is available in the restaurant which is open until around 21.30.

This is not an All Inclusive hotel at all. TUI have totally miss sold us this holiday with their false advertising on their website. They advertise Half Board, Full Board or All Inclusive and in this deal all drinks are included in your stay at Hotel Conte di Cabrera. I shall explain:- In the morning you can get free jugs of water, fizzy drinks and coffee with your breakfast. From 10am - 6pm you can then get half filled cups of beer, soft drinks or coffee at the pool bar. Apparently there are also snacks but we did not see a single one of these. Lunchtime and again you can get jugs of water, fizzy drinks and wine. After 6pm you can go to the hotel bar and buy any drink you want but you have to PAY. Dinner time 7.45pm is a repeat of lunchtime. The hotel is very spacious and clean but there are areas in the hotel that need some serious updating and one area is the path down to the beach. There are several pieces of brick work that have come adrift so pushing a pram, buggy or a wheel chair could prove tricky and dangerous. However the grounds around the hotel are beautiful and very well maintained. Our room was clean, lots of space and well working air con. The room was need of some TLC but overall a comfy bed and happy. The meals at both lunch and dinner times are very very good. Lots of variety and staff on hand who immediately clear away after you. All staff here are polite. The only worrying thing at meal times is that meals on offer are not labelled so if you have an allergy then please be careful, good job our daughter was not with us as she has a nut allergy. Beach is very clean and life guards are very friendly, water shallow and so clear (ideal for families with small children). Reception staff are extremely rude and do not seem to care about their customers at all, a bit of Customer Service Training would not go a miss here. Another warning sign is that at this hotel there are NO TUI reps at all, and since our stay we now know why. We are generally appalled at TUI and how they have treated us and I am sure others with their false adverts and information about Hotel Conte di Cabrera. When you read that TUI are advertising an All Inclusive hotel and you pay thousands of pounds for an All Inclusive hotel you expect All Inclusive. Their advert on TUI website reads 'All Inclusive Breakfast, lunch, evening meal, drinks, snacks. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks at set times. Selected local-brand alcohol, soft drinks, tea and coffee'.

This hotel IS NOT ALL INCLUSIVE. We were sold this holiday as an all inclusive as per the details on the TUI website. The only drinks available after dinner have to be paid for. Water is only available with meals apart from very small plastic cups by the pool. Bottles are not allowed to be filled in the restaurants. Nobody in our party is a big drinker but one or two would be nice. The only alcohol available is watered down wine at dinner and beer. Even water has to be paid for after dinner and only available in small bottles. Anything else has to be paid for. We were even told a cup of tea was not included and only available without charge at breakfast. No snacks are available during the day and ice cream has to be paid for. To get towels by the pool a deposit is needed - not too bad. However there is also a non-refundable 4 euros charge per towel. Anyone with food intolerance or alergies should also be aware that no food is labelled. The cleanliness in our rooms is also not great, they seem to have been given a once over and not thoroughly cleaned. No response has been recieved from TUI and there is no rep at the hotel.

Do not book this holiday through Tui. We booked all inclusive but that is not what you will receive here. The only drinks available are those in the restaurant in thr evening. The lobby bar charges. The only alcohol available is awful wine and beer. There is only tea and coffee with breakfast. You even have to pay for bottled water. I have done many all inclusive holidays and this is not one of them! Avoid at all costs!

I am appalled by the false information I have been told, this hotel is nothing like what it was described by Tui on their website for example I paid for all inclusive except that was not what I was offered. All drinks after 6pm need to be paid for at the lobby bar and alcohol isn't included except for watered down wine and beer in the restaurant!
